Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Yin Attribute Chakra Nature Transformation

Kakashi appeared on the arena with a flicker.

"Kakashi, you have to do your best," Rin cheered for Kakashi.

Watching Kakashi on the stage, still using the Body Flicker Jutsu, Obito felt that Kakashi was really something; he would have to learn the Body Flicker Jutsu in the future.

"Hatake Kakashi is not an ordinary participant. He is the famous genius of our Konoha. I remember this is your second time participating in the competition, right?" Because Kakashi's reputation was quite significant, the host introduced him a bit more.

"Yes," Kakashi nodded indifferently, not saying much, with an aloof demeanor.

"Hatake Kakashi, what Ninjutsu are you going to perform this time?" the host asked.

"Earth-Style Wall," Kakashi replied.

After the host stepped back, Kakashi swiftly formed hand seals, and Chakra erupted within his body.

"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

With Kakashi using Ninjutsu, the scene trembled for a moment, followed by an immensely thick and solid giant wall slowly rising behind Kakashi.

"This level of Earth Release Ninjutsu..." The judges looked at the long and thick Earth-Style Wall, falling into contemplation for a moment.

For this level of Ninjutsu, if it were before, they would undoubtedly give a full score. However, now that there is already one perfect score, giving another one would mean having two top scores. The judges pondered for a moment and ultimately raised cards with tens on them, leaving such matters to the organizers to handle.

"This guy is still as abnormal as before." Asuma expressed no surprise at Kakashi's strength.

"To defeat Kakashi, who uses Ninjutsu, one must continue to strive." Might Guy recalled the battle when Kakashi went all out that day.

That time was truly overwhelming. Apart from the unexpected kick from Konoha's whirlwind, there was no power to counterattack afterward.

Observing a judge awarding a full score, Obito felt a bit uneasy. If Kakashi also received a perfect score, then who would be considered first?

"Ten points, ten points, ten points. The total score for participant Hatake Kakashi is thirty points!

Incredible! This is the second perfect score in today's competition and the first time we've seen a double perfect score since the beginning of the tournament," exclaimed the host.

The quality of participants in this competition is unexpectedly high, with two perfect scores emerging. Even someone of Uchiha Tekka's caliber, in the previous competition, would have easily secured the first position.

"Such bad luck," Uchiha Tekka sighed. He had thought he could secure the first position but suddenly found himself pushed down to third.

Yet, he accepted his defeat, acknowledging that Kakashi and Obito's displayed Ninjutsu was indeed powerful.

"If only Shisui participated, he would surely get a perfect score too," Uchiha Tekka commented.

He was confident in Shisui. Despite being two years older, he considered himself no match for Shisui.

Shisui smiled without saying anything. He had no particular interest in this competition, and with Obito eager to claim the first position, he had even less incentive to participate.

"Satisfied now? If you want to defeat me, practice for a few more years," Kakashi said to Obito as he descended from the stage.

"What are you so proud of? We both scored thirty points, and I got mine first. Technically, I won," Obito retorted, unwilling to accept defeat.

"You scored thirty because that's the limit for you. I scored thirty because it's the highest possible score," Kakashi calmly remarked.

"You..." Obito couldn't argue with Kakashi, and his face began to redden.

"Alright, you both are very talented. No need to argue," Rin stood between the two with a helpless smile.

Near the competition venue, the organizers and merchants began discussing.

"How did we end up with two perfect scores this time? How do we determine the rankings now?"

"Maybe we should organize a tiebreaker, have them use different Ninjutsu and compete again?" suggested one of the merchants.

"This way, determining the first place is good, but it might not be fair. One of them is still a student, and mastering a Fire Release Ninjutsu at this level is already impressive," voiced a concern from one of the merchants.

"Can't they share the first place?" a voice suddenly interjected.

The merchants found the voice somewhat unfamiliar and then noticed a golden-haired man with a forehead protector standing beside them, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

"We can even use the tie for first place as a promotional gimmick, offering discounts to celebrate and attracting more people to shop," Mutsuki suggested with a smile.

"That's a good idea," the merchants thought, finding Mutsuki's proposal quite appealing.

One of the purposes of organizing this competition was to increase foot traffic in the commercial district. If it could attract more people to shop, it would be even better.

Any additional earnings would be welcomed, especially considering that the first-place prize was only eight thousand Ryo.

"Ninja-sama, do you have any thoughts about opening a shop here?" a shop owner, sensing Mutsuki's business acumen, invited.

"No, I'm just an ordinary Chunin passing through. Your competition is great; it can boost the enthusiasm for training among the village's youth," Mutsuki praised before leaving.

If Obito and Kakashi were to have a tiebreaker, Obito would definitely not win against Kakashi. For Obito to secure the first position, he had truly gone to great lengths, doing everything he could. He hoped that the rewards at the end wouldn't disappoint him.

In the subsequent matches, there were no more perfect scores like Obito and Kakashi's, not even anyone surpassing Uchiha Tekka. The highest score obtained was only twenty-three points.

When all the participants concluded their displays, it was time to announce the rankings.

"Uchiha Obito ties for first, Hatake Kakashi ties for first, Uchiha Tekka takes second..." the host declared the top three.

Mutsuki's suggestion worked, and Obito and Kakashi shared the first place, resulting in a tie.

"You got lucky this time; next time, I'll definitely beat you," the excited Obito confidently threw down the challenge.

"Maybe if your strength matches your words, you might have a chance," in terms of sharp remarks, Kakashi was currently in a league far beyond Obito's reach.

Fortunately, with the first-place reward in hand – a beautiful silver-plated Kunai and eight thousand Ryo – Obito was pleased despite not being able to surpass Kakashi. Seeing the rewards in his hands, Obito felt a sense of joy.

At the moment of announcing the rankings, Obito's training mission was also settled.

[Disciple Uchiha Obito's training mission completed, rewards obtained: Chakra +800, Ninjutsu Proficiency Scroll, Yin Attribute Chakra Nature Transformation (Proficient)]

Seeing the popped-up rewards, Mutsuki displayed a contented expression. Such rich rewards justified his twenty days of effort.

Eight hundred Chakra meant that if he were to attend classes, he would need to attend forty B-rank evaluations.

The Ninjutsu Proficiency Scroll was also a valuable item, instantly raising the proficiency of mastered Ninjutsu to a higher level.

As for the Yin Release Chakra Nature Transformation, it was Mutsuki's most satisfying reward, even more pleasing than the eight hundred Chakra. The practice of Yin and Yang, these two special naturetransformations, is quite challenging. In the instant he received the reward, Mutsuki's mind was flooded with memories related to practicing Yin Attribute Chakra Nature Transformation.

Mutsuki opened the panel and began reviewing his own data.
