In the wrecked medical bey.
"Sinc none of us are going to be going anywhere for the time being, I think it's time for you to explain what's going on" Samuel says to Alicia with a calm and gentle tone.As Jenkins battles the masked assassin outside
Alicia took a deep breath, wincing slightly as she adjusted her position on the medical table. All eyes in the room turned expectantly to her.
"Very well," she began. "My name is Alicia Tremaine. I'm a high-ranking officer in the Allied Military Forces."
Eon's eyebrows rose in surprise. This woman was a soldier?
Alicia continued. "Several weeks ago, we intercepted intelligence about an illegal arms deal taking place. A highly dangerous weapon was changing hands."
Alicia took a shaky breath and continued. "When we intercepted the arms deal, it wasn't weapons being exchanged like we thought. It was a person. A man they called 'Patient Zero'."
"He was imprisoned inside some kind of high-tech stasis chamber, hooked up to machines barely keeping him alive. But the way they treated him..." Alicia shuddered at the memory. "It was like they saw him as the most dangerous man in the world, even at death's door."
"Did you learn anything about why he inspired such fear?" Samuel asked intently.
"no we never had the chance to find out" she says with frustration.
Alicia took a shaky breath. "It all happened so fast. As soon as the exchange was made, that masked assassin attacked. But it wasn't a normal hit - he slaughtered my entire team without breaking a sweat. They didn't stand a chance."
She clenched her fist, still haunted by the memories. "I only survived because I played dead under the bodies"
Alicia's eyes darkened. "What the assassin didn't know was that I had managed to swipe a DNA sample from Patient Zero during the chaos. I saw it as our only chance to uncover the truth behind his imprisonment."
She took a steadying breath. "Only moments later, reinforcements arrived on the scene. But it wasn't our backup - it was more of the enemy. And they weren't there to clean up...they were there to frame me."
"I barely escaped with my life. But now they think I'm the one responsible for killing my team. And with the DNA sample in my possession, I've become the target of this assassin and whoever is really behind all this."
Alicia folded her hands tightly, as if trying to stop their trembling. "Since then I've been on the run, hunted at every turn. I came here as a last resort, hoping to find answers or at least a safe haven, if only for a short while."
A heavy silence fell over the room as everyone processed Alicia's story. It was almost unbelievable - yet the danger was all too real.
Finally Eon spoke up nervously. "So...this masked assassin and the people after you. They must be extremely powerful and dangerous to wipe out your entire team so easily."
Alicia nodded grimly. "I've been in this line of work a long time, seen my share of combat. But that man, he fought like nothing I've ever witnessed. It was like he could anticipate our every move before we even made it."
"And you say he works for whoever imprisoned this 'Patient Zero'," Samuel mused thoughtfully. "Which implies an organization of considerable means and influence, if they can command such a lethal killer."
Alicia sighed wearily. "After barely surviving the attack, I went to several scientists I know, hoping someone could help analyze the DNA sample and uncover what secret it held. But anyone I turned to either turned me away out of fear, or ended up dead soon after our meeting."
She ran a hand across her brow. "You were my last hope. I tracked down Dr. Richard Jenkins, a renowned geneticist who specialized in fringe science. I believed if anyone could solve this mystery, it was him. But it seems my pursuers were one step ahead..."
At that moment, a rumble shook the building, accompanied by a sonic boom from outside. The medical bay's lights flickered ominously as dust sifted down from cracks in the ceiling.
Eon raced to the window and gasped. "Jenkins and the masked man, they're still fighting but the whole courtyard is demolished!
Outside, the battle between Jenkins and the masked assassin raged on amidst the rubble and wreckage of the estate courtyard.
Jenkins' indigo aura swirled powerfully around him as he unleashed a barrage of energy strikes. Boulders and debris spun through the air at his command, hurling towards the assassin with crushing force.
But his opponent moved with uncanny speed and precision. The masked man seemed to blur as he danced between Jenkins' attacks, the white mask and black clothes contrasting sharply with his rapid movements.
When an opening came, the assassin lunged forward with deadly intent. His long black hair spilled from behind the featureless mask as his katana stabbed unerringly towards Jenkins' core.
Jenkins raised a shield just in time, azure sparks flying as metal clashed against his kinetic barrier. He countered with a stiff jab but hit only open air - the assassin had flipped nimbly aside.
Before Jenkins could adjust, the assassin struck from the new angle. His katana carved a shallow gash across Jenkins' shoulder before dancing back out of reach.
Grimacing, Jenkins examined the wound, already healing over thanks to his Awakened resilience. But the assassin's skill was undeniable - an injury from such a fighter could prove life-threatening.
The battle entered a new phase. Jenkins tapped deeper into his powers, manifesting a arsenal of improvised weapons from the rubble - spears, maces, axes that spun through the air under his kinetic command.
Steel and stone smashed aside only to shatter against the assassin's inhuman dexterity. Each blow brought him closer yet he evaded with contemptuous ease, the gleam in his eyes the only expression beneath that blank white mask.
Finally an opening - Jenkins molded a colossal boulder into a spiked sphere and hurled it with overwhelming might. There was no way to dodge at such close range.
Only at the last instant did the assassin move. He vanished into a blur, reappearing atop the pulverized stone with katana poised to strike.
"Enough games," the assassin growled. Energy surged along the katana's edge, its blade glowing azure. "Follow the trail of my dance - Izuna Drop!"
The world seemed to slow as Jenkins beheld his own death approaching. The assassin launched into a dizzying display, katana slicing the air in arcs and circles too fast to perceive. By the time Jenkins realized the technique was meant to be followed, it was too late.
His vision swam, strength draining from his limbs as some mysterious evil took hold. The assassin lunged, blade biting deep into Jenkins' chest with a spray of blood.
Darkness swallowed Jenkins' world. His power fizzled out, body crashing to the ground amidst ruins of stone and steel. The last thing he saw was the assassin's mask gazing down impassively before all went black.
High above, watching from a broken window, Eon and the others looked on in horror. Jenkins, seemingly invincible, had fallen before the assassin's absolute skill. Now nothing stood between that killer and the estate's remaining inhabitants.
