Talon and Claire walked slowly, following Emily from behind. When Emily reached the bushes first, she was stunned by the beauty that lay before her.
"It's water! A small lake."
"This lake is beautiful and so clean, it's surprising. But I don't see any sign of the plant we're looking for, do you?" Claire looked around carefully.
"No, I don't think so," Talon replied. "This place feels like it's hiding something."
They walked along the edge of the lake, hoping to find what they were searching for.
Suddenly, Claire stopped, crouching down to inspect a leaf sticking out from some nearby bushes. The leaf was a light green color with finely serrated edges.
"Talon, Emily… I think this is what Marilyn described, but… I'm not sure. I've seen leaves like this before, though this one is a much lighter shade of green."
Claire plucked the leaf carefully, holding it gingerly in her hand.
