Talon stood up to greet Crystal and the young girl walking beside her. They approached him slowly.
"Hey, Crystal. You've brought a new friend?" he asked with a welcoming smile.
"Yes, and you'll be glad to meet her," Crystal replied.
"Really?" Talon leaned down, bringing himself to the girl's eye level. "Hi, I'm Talon."
He extended his hand, and the girl responded by shaking it. "I'm Sophia."
Sophia, a nine-year-old girl with an Oriental face, smiled shyly.
"I don't think I've seen you before. Are you from another group?" he asked.
Sophia nodded.
"Nice to meet you, Sophia," he said with a warm grin before turning to Crystal. "Crystal, how did she end up with you?"
"It's a long story," Crystal sighed. "I'll fill you in later. But there's something more important you need to know."
"What is it?" Talon frowned, sensing the urgency.
A voice called out from behind him. "She's a young musician, Talon."
