A group of people stood in front of Talon, laughing at their own words as if mocking and belittling him.
Talon remained still. As he clenched his fist, a sudden warmth enveloped his hand.
Claire gently took hold of it, stopping him from acting rashly. She knew Talon was upset by their taunts.
"Talon, it's okay," she whispered softly.
As Talon turned to look at Claire, a sudden kick flew toward one of the men, knocking him into another.
Several of them collapsed to the ground, groaning in pain.
Emily, with her agile moves, had delivered a powerful kick to one of their heads. Now, she stood in front of Talon and Claire.
"Enough with your stupid talk! Weren't you taught any manners?!" Emily snapped.
"Emily?" Talon murmured.
"This is the first time I've seen Emily so bold. She's amazing," Claire whispered in admiration.
