The morning once again arises, and with it, new days begin. But for Cain, this day starts a little later, around 11 am. After a long night of sleep in his comfortable bed that he missed dearly, the red-eyed child finally wakes up. The first thing he does is try to contact Lysara again, who stopped talking to him two days ago after he underwent his evolution and got captured by the bandits.
*Lysara, are you there? Did anything happen to you?* asks Cain with a concerned voice.
Nothing. Still no response.
*I just hope you're alright. If you can hear me, just please give me a sign, and I want you to know that I miss you.* says Cain with an emotional voice.
As Cain finishes his monologue, a small purple small wolf jumps out of the spear. Yawning, a sign that he just woke up after a good night's sleep, he stands in the face of his human bond and looks at him with big eyes. Fenrir, who just woke up as his companion, looks with confused eyes at Cain and doesn't understand why he was ejected from his new home by Night's Whisper, who was nurturing him with her darkness.
Cain, finally able to take a good look at Fenrir, didn't hold back in taking him in his hands and lifting him, holding him in front of him, and inspecting the young puppy. Fenrir, in the same way, is inspecting the strange-looking human child with whom he feels a deep connection.
"Do you know anything about what happened with the soul inside the spear?" asks Cain.
The wolf, a little confused but still understanding through their connection what the human who he found out is called Cain asked him, transmitted through their connection that he didn't know.
"Uff, and you aren't able to talk yet. I never would think that I would go mad for not hearing voices inside my head," Cain says more to himself than to the wolf, looking with confused eyes at the dark-haired boy.
"I guess I can just wait for now; I also should start training. The fight with the bandits taught me that I am weak and my life can end fast. I can't let that happen again," says Cain, putting the puppy down and leaving his chamber to search for his master, after dressing up, of course.
On the training grounds of the Silverblood family, Orion and Lyra are fighting each other again to train and refine their instincts. At the same time, Cain's master, Victoria, is watching the two and giving tips where needed.
"Good morning, master. Victoria," Cain corrected himself quickly, remembering that Victoria doesn't like it when he calls her master.
"Good morning, Cain. It seems like you finally woke up. It is good; you also need sleep, even after a long mission or training. Don't negligently sleep. You're still young and growing up strong, and you will need rest," says Victoria, looking at her young apprentice.
"Yes, master, I will remember. Also, I came to ask you to train me. I need to become stronger!"
"Why?" asks Victoria with a serious expression.
"Huh, what do you mean, master?" responded Cain with a confused look on his face.
"Why do you need to become stronger? You will become stronger as you grow up anyway. Why do you need to become stronger? You have all these guards to protect you, and you also have me and your family. So tell me, Cain, why do you need to become stronger?" Once again, Victoria asks very seriously, waiting for Cain's response.
The young Cain, sensing that there is more to this question than it seems, takes his time and starts thinking about why he needs to become stronger. After around 5 minutes, Cain finally responds to his master.
"Well, master, there are a lot of good motives out there for me to become stronger. I need to protect myself and my family; you and them will not be here for me forever. I know that. I could also say that I need to become stronger so that no bandits can capture me again or to make sure the church will not come for my father like they did to my grandfather. But, master, the truth is that I need to become stronger because that is what I want. That is what I desire. I can't explain it, but my feelings, my dreams, my desires, and even my faith, are to become stronger—the strongest. If not, I will not be happy. I will not be satisfied. And I feel like I will lose something, if not the most important thing for me. Maybe I am paranoid, haha, but this is why I need to become stronger. Because this is what I want—to become stronger. response, Cain with a determinate look on his face.
Victoria, slightly impressed and with a newfound curiosity, asks again."How strong will you need to become to be satisfied, Cain? Elite level? Hero level? Sovereign? Or even Saint-Level?"
"I don't know why, but something inside me is telling me that the only correct answer is strong enough to kill a god, Master Victoria. So no, I will not stop even at the sovereign level," says Cain with a very serious and determined look.
Victoria, not looking surprised or confused, responded with more enthusiasm than him. "Then Cain, I will bring you to the peak of the mortal realm power, and once with you, I will also grow stronger than before, because if you, a 5-year-old, aim to become strong enough to kill a god, why would I, Victoria Corvus, stop at being just a hero level of power? Cain, I will need to leave and go back to the Tepes Empire. My duties are there, and it seems like the monsters at the border of the empire are starting to become more aggressive again. So I invite you to come with me to the Corvus Estate, where I will continue your training, and when the time comes and you are ready, I will personally bring you to the front lines of the Tepes Empire to hone your powers and skills to new heights.
Cain, being full of determination and enthusiasm by his teacher's proclamation and invitation, accepts without a second thought. "I will come, master! But first and foremost, I will need to gain permission from my parents. Is that ok with you?" asks Cain, a little nervous now.
"Of course, Cain, let's go and talk with them together. Preparations are to be made anyway, so it is better to have things sorted out first. We will leave for the Tepes Empire in 3 days if things go smoothly. Also, these days, you better not train; let your core stabilize and also your body. And spend as much time as possible with your family; you never know when you will see each other again." says Victoria with a calm expression.
"Yes, Master, let's go and talk with my parents," responds Cain.
Hearing the conversation between master and pupil, the two older siblings, Orion and Lysara, are looking at each other with surprised expressions but also determined ones. They are a little sad that their brother will leave again, but they also understand that it is for his good. They also need to work harder and take more risks so they will not be left behind by the younger prodigy in the family. They nod at each other knowing exactly what each other is thinking right now and once again lunge at each other engaging in close combat, more fiercly and terminated than before.
Cain, who is going to his parents to ask them for permission to leave with his master didn't know that at this time, his choice will lead to something that he never accepted before. Something that will reshape the future, not just his, but the future of the entire Silverblood family.
