Screech!!
The black car Ethel had rented suddenly braked, almost causing Kayla to hit her head on the inside of the car.
"We arrived" Ahmed got out of the car and quickly opened the door for Kayla, even though she had insisted that she could do it alone.
"Thank you, Ahmed, I owe you" Kayla smiled as she got out of the car with her body more relaxed and less sore. The trip through the underground city did him good.
"I only fulfilled the favor that Ethel asked of me" Ahmed smiled. Even though he had done this under Ethel's threat, he would have done it even if Ethel asked him nicely.
Kayla was a girl he had grown somewhat fond of, but more than anything, he was very curious about how far Kayla would go. It wouldn't hurt to have a good impression of a future high-level adventurer.
