She stepped forward and ripped her blade out of the flaming corpse, then wiped the blood off on her pants. At her will, her Majesty connected her to the life force within her Phylactery, and the wound on her shoulder slowly began to stitch itself back together.
"Mh," Lokus grunted, still committed to not talking. He suddenly felt a lot better once the demon died, as if the acid within him had either vanished or lost its power. What's more, the wound on his shoulder had healed in a flash as well.
But their satisfaction didn't last long before the flames suddenly went out and the bear demon's side squirmed.
"Oh, you've got to be fucking kidding me," Endalia spat. "I'm just going to kill the fucking thing before it can-!"
Lokus grabbed her by the arm, meeting her irritated gaze with a twinkling mischief in his own as he mentally checked his system to confirm.
