"You… do know what their goals are, don't you?" Lokus asked him.
"I do."
"So you plan to stop the tyrants by killing both them and the oppressed? Seems a little backward to me."
"My plans are of no concern to you. All that matters is that we both want this finger devoid of human life, and I plan to assist you in this matter."
"We're listening," Sakari said.
"And so is that guy," Endalia butted in, pointing a finger at the burned man. "I say we get rid of him. He's heard too much."
Herbert snorted. "Do you take me for a fool? He couldn't hear anything even if it was the very world collapsing around him. He is of no threat to us."
"Leave it," Sakari said, waving her hand. "Far be it from us to argue with an Emperor. He has not lived to this point in this finger from ignorance."
Endalia scowled, but didn't bring up the subject again as Sakari gave Herbert a deep look.
