Chapter 86 - A Change

Other than the smooth stump of where her right arm used to be, Sakari appeared to be as hale and hearty as usual, and even her tattoo had been restored, something that surely would have surprised Lokus had he been able to see it.

What he could feel with his Domain, however, was the way her chest rose and fell, and the way her eyelids fluttered as if she was having a bad dream. And as they watched, those eyelids began to blearily open, and Sakari rose to a sitting position, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

Endalia hurriedly moved to wrap Sakari's borrowed cloak back around the nude woman's form, much to the disappointment of the men in the crowd, then bowed her head low in Herbert's direction. "Thank you, I don't know what I would have done if my sister had not made it."

Herbert nodded with a kind smile. "It was no trouble. I-."

"If you're done," interrupted a derisive voice, "then I'll be breaking up this little talent show."
