Chapter 1 - Amanda's late introduction

It was a normal day at school (for now.) As always, teacher JP was quite a bit late (no like seriously, he arrived at snack time.) When he finally arrived, he announced that we were going on a field trip. "Hey, we're going to the bank." JP said in a nonchalant voice, as if we weren't going on a field, TO THE BANK??. And in case you didn't read the past few sentences, we're going..to the bank, (As all schools do.) Anyways, when we arrived, we all gathered up in one group. And as always the quiet kid wasn't paying attention to anything. Anyways, after whoever was guiding us stopped explaining whatever he was explaining, the bank's alarms started going off. Apparently, two whole dollars had been stolen. (It was actually a dollar and fifty cents, which they rounded to two. As all banks do.) Soon after, police pulled up to the bank, and as they opened the door, they took off their shades in a very cool manner, making special effects fly out everywhere. The policemen then started to investigate the scene, eventually, finding 24 potential suspects, but for the sake of time, I'll only be naming the recurring characters. The suspects were: Chris, the class president, Eduardo, the class clown, Chad the stereotypical highschool bully, and finally Amanda, the main character of this story, (I know, quite a late introduction for the main character) anyways, Amanda was quite unremarkable despite being the main character, thus not having a title. And so the police started interrogating the students (because it couldn't possibly be an adult who stole it.) The first to be interrogated was Chad. "I was totally like, just bullying some random kid, I wouldn't waste my time on some non important thing like money." Soon after, one of the bully's that was always hanging around Chad whispered in his ear, "money is the thing you buy stuff with." At that moment, Chad had a revelation, "oh." Anyways, next was Eduardo, "I was joking around with some friends, I didn't have the opportunity to steal the money." The policemen both pulled out a notebook that's cover said in the comic sans font: very important notes. And while the policemen were scribbling in the book, they made sounds such as, "uh huh, uh huh." And after they finished taking notes (scribbling) they chose the next suspect, Amanda, who said, "I was listening to what the guide was saying." The policemen whispered between each other "whisper, whisper, whisper" and after a moment, they both spoke in unison, "hmmm, very suspicious." Finally, they went to the last suspect, Chris. When Chris spoke, his teeth sparkled like diamonds, and his golden blond hair glistened. "I didn't steal it." The policemen believed this. But Chris spoke up once more, "but I do know who did." The policemen looked at Chris curiously. "Well, who?" Chris pointed at Amanda, "IT WAS HER!!" Amanda shrugged back in confusion and shock, "Wait, surely you can't believe him, I mean, he literally just said "I didn't steal it", that's like, the least convincing statement ever!" the policemen shrugged, and just responded with "how dare you try to accuse a perfectly innocent student!" Amanda, still very confused, said. "Wha-" but the police cut her off, and said "take her away." They handcuffed Amanda's hands together, and took her to the police car. And as Amanda was being dragged away, she saw Chris, who looked at her, with an evil smirk on his face, as he walked back into the bank.

2 years later…

Amanda was finally free from prison, she took an Uber back to her apartment. But when she got there, she realized something… she had forgotten the code to her room, (I know, such an Amanda move.) Amanda then started uselessly pacing back and forth in the hallway. But little did she know, this was actually an ancient ritual, known as an ass-pull. And so Amanda remembered her room's passcode. As Amanda walked into the room. She saw a bunch of boxes everywhere. They were filled to the brim with her belongings. She walked further into the room, and what she saw was…her never before mentioned older sister Gertrude!!!! Who was sleeping on the couch. Amanda poked her shoulder to wake her up, "hey, wake up." then again, then again, then one more time, before Gertrude finally woke up, "who- Amanda???" Gertrude pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming, "Owwwww, when did you get back?" But before Amanda could complain about Gertrude not remembering that this was the day she was getting released, there was a knock on the door, and Amanda went to open it. The one who stood before her was…the main villain of this story ... .the landlord? "Is there something you need?" Amanda said. The landlord replied with a stern expression, "yes, indeed there is. You haven't paid rent in 6 months." Amanda looked at Gertrude with a shocked face. "Gertrude…."

But before Amanda could apologize to the landlord, he was gone, and what stood in his place was…an eviction notice… (you'd think this would have happened a lot sooner but uhh, I sorta needed Amanda to be there for the story to progress.) Anyways, Amanda read. The note, which said the following, [if all debts haven't been paid by the 20th, I will have no choice but to kick you out, -unnamed landlord] [remaining debts: something around six dollars, but with like, a few zeros at the end.]

Amanda and Gertrude were broke, (much like in real life-) so there was no possible way for them to make enough money to repay their debt in time. And after a long discussion, they decided to leave while they could, a decision that won't come with any legal repercussions. And so Amanda and Gertrude (very legally) obtained a boat, and prepared to set off. Shortly before that, Amanda and Gertrude went over to a store to (very legally) obtain a map. Conveniently, before they could get to the store a map just dropped out of the sky. Now, they had all the stuff they needed. (For now) and officially set sail. Soon after, they discovered a new continent, right next to the North Pole. (you'd think something as big as a continent would have been found by the public by now but, no.) They parked their boat on the shore of the island, and they realized something. Despite being right next to the North Pole, it was as hot as a summer in Arizona? As Gertrude was unpacking their stuff, she heard Amanda say, "look over there!" Gertrude looked at what Amanda was pointing at, and what was before them was….COCONUTS!!! Amanda ran towards them since she and Gertrude hadn't eaten in days. As they both were going towards the coconuts, Amanda tripped on a rock, and fell into the sand. Gertrude, ignoring Amanda falling, went over, and tried to pick up a coconut, but, the coconut shot a hairy spine at Gertrude hand, "owww, wait, this isn't that bad-" the other coconuts on the ground rolled up to her, and shot a barrage of hairy spines at her, and Gertrude starting itching all over. Amanda got up from the ground, grabbed Gertrude's hand, and started running. After running for a bit, Amanda and Gertrude looked behind them and saw the coconut's following them!??? The coconuts had a hairy exterior, big eyes, and small legs. Amanda and Gertrude finally escaped the coconuts. Gertrude, who was itching all over from the hairy spines, fell to the ground. Amanda looked around, trying to find something to stop the itching that Gertrude had been suffering from. She walked around a bit, but suddenly, she tripped. She looked down, and saw a conveniently placed book sitting on the ground. On the cover, it said: a conveniently placed book sitting on the ground. Amanda opened the book, and saw a table of content. She read through a few names that didn't make sense like, "amandasaurus" or "amandaciraptor." (Which will never ever, ever, appear in the future.) She flipped through a few more pages, and found a page about the coconuts. Those coconuts were called…coconut monsters!! (I know, such an innovative name, I deserve an Oscar, or is that only for movies? I don't know and couldn't care enough to look it up.) she flipped through a few more pages, and found a poison/venom section. She read through it, and conveniently, had all the details about the coconut monster poison. The antidote for it was…purified snake venom?? (My second of many Oscar worthy ideas, and yet I still don't know if that's only for movies.) Anyways, the only way to obtain/make purified snake venom is to get the venom of the most dangerous snake in the world…the Amandaconda..!! And once you have the venom of the amandaconda, you need the venom of a very dangerous spider, the Amanda spider. (Because I couldn't think of an Amanda pun with an already existing spider name, so I just straight up called it the Amanda spider.) Anyways, Amanda got all the ingredients off screen, (wait, would that be off page?-you know what never mind.)
