Chapter 73 - William Leoda: William Is Coming

"What brought you here to the royal city, old friend, it been awhile you have been here, did you get bored and you finally decided to come visit this old friend of yours uhm".

A short man, he will barely be a 5'2 if he stands to his full height, with bulky physique, a thick blonde hair and beard covers half his face, his head and entire neck, if a human face were to be given to a lion then this short man that just spook will definitely be the best comparism.

This lion face man sat on a small rocking chair that face a four feet tall window that over look almost the entire outer shell of the royal capital city with his back to the door that leads to this room.

This short man is the other major general for this capital city, although it only in name than in actually position like other major general title holder that has an entire city to themselves to control.

"Well Daniel old friend, this friend of yours finally remember your old bone, aha ha" a heartily laugh came through the door as another man walks in, the man is none other than Allen Leoda, William's father.

"Fortunately this old bone of mine are still intact and moving" Daniel, the short man by the window replied has he turned his head to look towards Allen.

"I can hear them creaking at every little movement, are you sure you can even move them around that much??" Allen replied the short man.

Daniel chuckle at Allen words.

"Come sit with me and tell me what bring you here to my city"

Allen move to seat at the only other chair in the room.

"Come on old friend, why do you look so troubled, anything that can trouble you, with surely end me if am to be in your shoe. back in the academy you were the one that has all the solution to practically every of our problems so what happened" Daniel suddenly said trying to liven the mood that have suddenly gone dark after about two minutes of silence between both men.

Allen sigh, and look toward Daniel's side profile with his tired eyes.

"William is coming here for revenge"

"Oh" Daniel said, not sounding surprised as he looked back at Allen, a second later he takes a deep sigh as silent ensure between both men again.

The silence last another five minutes, it was deep enough that even a deaf man will be able to hear both men heart beat in it.

Allen, try to be surprised that Daniel was not surprised about his statement but he knows best that information is one of the fort of this short friend and in-law of his.

"I told you countless time to explain what is going on here to that little niece of mine, but you never listen, what now?" Daniel asked as his rest his chin on his right hand and look back towards the city.

"What am l to do or say to him Daniel, tell him that my father and his mother's father, his grandparents on both side are traitors who betrayed The king and got almost their entire family annihilated for it? Is that what am to say"

"But you do know deep within you that they are not traitors, fighting for what you believe in and what is right, those things do not make you a traitor and you know this better than anyone"

Allen sighed again, it seems to be the only thing he is good at nowadays though.

"I guess it finally time for me to go to war also. And am sorry old friend, it's seem you came to ask the wrong person to help you stop William, am sorry l will have to disappoint you, l have also endured enough, it about time that that blood sucking demon pay for what he did to my adopted father and my little sister" immediately Daniel said these words, his composure and aura change from that of a sluggish near retirement old man to a valiant soldier ready to lay down his life for what he believe in.

He stands up and walk slowly towards the door. Allen could feel his world crumbling down, as he realized the last person he could ask for help, want nothing more than what he has been running from, he wonder what else he can do or should have done differently.

He understands Daniel's pain, the house of Welis has adopted him since he was a little boy from poverty in the upper circle, he did not die simply because Eloise's father stationed him at one of the Welis property in the upper circle which allows him to survive the genocide of the house of Welis.

So Allen understand his pain and conviction at getting revenge too.

Maybe he should have been able to understand William's pain and help him cope with it but at the end of it all, he was the one who assign his wife, William's mother to a task that got their own parent killed in the first place.

So what about William, Allen could not fight his own son when he knows quite well that he was supposed to be the one who is screaming for vengeance against these people but he and Daniel know the kind of strength these people hold.
