Chapter 70 - William Leoda: Little Shifts

William did not bother to draw his own sword from their scabbard. He also starts channeling his energy to just his hands.

Su...

They both move at the same time and a second later they were already in attacking ranges of each other. No fancy fist or legwork. Spear throws a simple forward punch.

William suddenly stop and adjusts his stance, which is crazy judging by how sudden he came to a stop and how fast Spear was coming at him, a bit shift to his left side before he also throws his own punch.

Boom...

Their fist collided, like they were fist bumping each other.

The trees, the grasses and everything within five feet around them cleared out. The section of ground where their fist meet creaked like a sledgehammer smacked on a ground cover tile.

With this single exchange between them it becomes clear who was stronger.

The wind pressure that their fist produces pushes both of them back. While William was able right his stance after been push back four steps. Spear was surprised that it took him seven steps to the back to right himself. Most people will thought, with the moving momentum Spear was coming with his punch should have carry my wind pressure and push William back more, but godly power are not exact science that mortal can figure out.

"You are strong! And it surprising. It shocking that you have this level of strength just after a single shot of Magani-0, the fusion of the Welis gene and the Leoda gene sure is crazy, to have create a monster like you in it first generation" Spear was quite shocked. It's absolutely not an easy feat to push someone of Spear power level to the back even a step, especially with a single punch.

But here he is, made to take seven steps back. Spear was not discouraged at all. In fact a smile surface on his face, not for meeting a worthy foe just because he was a battle maniac, No, he is happy because if William is already this strong, it go without saying that he may have a chance at defeating the king, and beside it does not seems like William was even going all out.

"Let me see you go all out" Spear said as he smile maniacally at William.

He kicks off the ground with his right leg as his speed towards William. The energy that covered his entire arms move up to cover his chest area like another layer of skin and also coat his feet as his shoes rip apart. When the energy covered his feet, Spear speed increased by two fold, the space between William and Spear was barely six meter apart and to move in a straight line with a speed that suddenly goes from 290 Mph to 350 Mph in an instant was a crazy concept in on itself.

William barely has enough time to properly raise his hand up to guard his head and chest area before a fist landed on his right rib cage close to his lungs, which almost knocks the air out of him. He immediately moves back with the momentum of the fist, as he tries to create space between himself and Spear to get into a proper fighting stance.

But Spear is no amateur in fighting. Giving William the space he needs will be a fool's decision.

"You are a weapon user, when in hand to hand combat, always be ready to attack or defend at any time, stance or no stance" Spear whispered, but William heard him.

As William move back, Spear move faster than he did. He suddenly appeared at William's back and send a Palm strike to the mid section of William back, right to his spine.

William found himself flying back to the front that he should have been moving away from and notice himself heading straight into a tree. William quickly tries to turn to his side to save his chest and face from crashing into the tree. If he did not do that, crashing face into the tree will make thinks really bad for him that if he does not outright lose consciousness but his worries were for nuts.

Spear appears to his right side, and delivers another blow just few inches away from where his first punch meets him.

Now William have to worry about what may be in his left side that he's now flying towards so he can defend himself, but that thought quickly disappeared. William feet are still not touching the ground yet, which means Spear will take this chance to continue to deliver more punches to his body.

[He will proper appear to my left side to try and deliver another punch to that side of me] this thought pass through William's mind as he tries to adjust his hands to his left side but suddenly or by instinct or by what was inside of him, his hand stopped and move back to his right rib cage and guard, half a millisecond later.

Boom...

Spear delivers a power kick that William was sure it was a well prepared kick as he can feel his inside shakes. And since bad things comes in twos, William crash into a tree that will probably fit two people side by side if they were ever place inside.

His head rings like a man with severe hangover, he almost lose consciousness right there.

William slowly shakes his head to clear his conscious of the dizziness he feels as he slowly looks towards Spear. Spear had previously decided not to give William any chance or space for him to rest or balance himself but after four blows, Spear become convinced that no matter how many blows he want to or have deliver to William's body nothing major will happen to him.

The two punches, a palm strike and a kick that Spear was able to landed on William were all guarded, although it make have seems to an inexperienced fighter that Spear was landing his hits but the truth is that every single time Spear punches are about to landed on William's vitals or parts of the body that will have incapacitated someone else at the last second before the attack connect, William will suddenly shift.

It is a minimal shift of the body that most fighters won't even notice but those extra little shifts always pull William's vital organs out of harm's way.

Spear was aiming his first punch at William's heart but that little shift cause the punch to land close the lungs far from the heart he was aiming for.

The palm strike to William back, Spear was aiming at the bone section below the thoracic cage, he was trying to break his spine with the force he put into that palm strike but that little shift bring the attack to the spine to William upper side of his thoracic cage, right in the middle of the Scapula, this particular spot is a well train part of the body, and with the level of strength William body possess, it almost a fool's dream to attack him at the spot.

The third punch that Spear tries to deliver to his heart again, that little shift bring the punch to William's left atrium and ventricle.

And the kick was meant to crush William's entire right rib cage, since Spear thought William will choose to defend his left side thinking that he where Spear will appear again, but before the kick make contact, William's hand is already waiting.

Spear is really confused because at what level do a person needs to get to, to be able to make those little shifts? It's as if William instincts or danger senses are alive and fighting his battle with him. It absolutely crazy that it muzzled Spear's brain just thinking about it.

"I won't give me a chance at rest if l were you"
