Chapter 8: City J, A new life awaits me
"Yeah, finally in" a young man on farm attire said with a relaxed sigh.
Looking around ,the city was more populated than his former city, which was just a tier lower than this one.The cities are graded alphabetically with Z being the lowest tier.
With the tide of beasts attacking villages and destroying lives and properties, humans have been forced to abandon 60% of their habitation and inhabiting the remaining 40%.
Because of constant threat from beasts the human race had to come together and create citadels within strong and fortified walls. These citadels were ranked from A to Z with A being the strongest and best while Z being the weakest and worst.
Raiden walked around for a bit, examining the city and filling his eyes with the beauty of the city.
He toured to the market district of the city. He looked around the market and walked towards a market man who sold some herbs.
He has a plan brewing in his mind.
"Hey, sir please can you tell me the direction of the nearest bank, I just came from my farmland, I have some money to deposit to my account and I am new here" Raiden spoke loudly as if he wanted everyone to know that he has money, it was part of his plan though.
"Yes, just take the route on your left and continue straight, you'll find a bank some miles ahead" The man replied Raiden warmly but was inwardly cursing him for being so loud and stupid. 'How will you come to a market area and speak so loudly about money, is he a fool or just naïve' the man thought.
"Thank you very much sir for your help," Raiden thanked the man.
"You're welcome, just take care of yourself" he replied but was inwardly shaking his head in disapproval.
"I doubt he will even make it to the bank" he thought inwardly and felt sad for the foolish stranger as he watched the stranger on a farm wear walking towards the direction he described for him, while Raiden was smiling foolishly.
After walking for a while, Raiden took an alley way in large strides after finding out he was being tailed by some unwanted guests or I'd rather say wanted guests.
Rushing into the alley way he met a dead end. He quickly turned around to run out but his way was blocked by three men on black body suits and masks.
He took a step back in surprise.
"Not so smart, are you?" One of the men asked in a mocking manner.
"Wh….What do you want from me?" Raiden asked stutteringly while taking some steps back feigning fear, while inwardly he was grinning devilishly.

"Hahahahaha", they all laughed.
"You want everything huh, come get it" Raiden said with a mischievous smile.
Immediately, he picked upa stone and hurled it with his full strength towards the one at the middle which seems to be their leader, the stone flew at a speed that they couldn't comprehend.
"Aaarngh" the man screamed as the stone hit him right on his chest, breaking a bone with the force sending him flying backwards and landed on the ground with a thud, the rest looked at their leader on the ground, holding his chest in pain.
"What !!!, you dare hurt Cabal?You'll pay for this," the rest two charged towards him as they brought out their weapons, one of them was having agreatswordonhisback,whiletheotherwasusingdualkatana.
One of them aimed for the head while the other went for the stomach region, and they were quite fast as well.
Raiden saw this and jumped up making them miss him.Still on the air, he twisted and kicked one on the head making him to crash on the ground.He landed on the ground and moved towards the second one
"Damn it he's so fast, this is where I'lldie" he thought as he saw Raiden just behind him.
He quickly turned around defended himself, as soon as he turned around, Raiden kicked him on the chin, it was as if Raiden was waiting for him to turn around.
The kick flung his head up, Raiden then jumped up, spinned his body and gave him a devastating kick on the head.
The kick made him spin several times on the air landing on the ground, he was fighting like a professional martial artist, but it seems like he underestimated them.
They both stood up from the ground ready to charge towards him.
"How dare you do this to me, you'll pay, I'll make you pay for it!!!" someone said from behind and this person was Cabal, their boss.
He immediately charge towards Raiden as he drew out his great sword and ignited it with flames, he was way faster than the rest two and appeared in front of Raiden in an instant and swung his swordverticallyupwardswantingtosplithim.
Raiden quickly jumped back evading the strike, as soon as he jumped back he saw as word head for his head, it was sudden so he quickly turned around caught with his hand, the sword stopped after cutting his hand a bit.

Before Raiden could do anything, their boss immediately dashed towards Raiden and at the same time, his men did the same as they dashed towards Raiden with their weapons.
"Damn it, "Raiden inwardly said as he quickly leaped upwards.
But Cabal quickly stopped as if he expected Raiden to jump up, he stretched his hand towards and fire streamed out of his hand towards Raiden.
Raiden couldn't dodge so he took the hit head on and the fire engulfed him.

The flames around Raiden disappeared leaving Cabal and his people confused, only his shirt burned off. As soon as Raiden's foot touched the ground, he blitzed towards Cabal and gave him a devastating punch on the torso, there was so much strength behind the punch that it ripped his inner organs. Cabal spat out blood as he flew backwards and landed on the ground.
"How is this possible? My flames didn't burn him, and he's faster now, and this level of strength and speed is not something I can handle,who'sthisguy," Cabal thought out loud on the ground, with blood in his mouth, as he watched Raiden kicking the ass of his men.
Raiden moved to the next person, he gave one of the men an uppercut, the punch was so strong that he lost some teeth, causing him to fly upwards but Raiden wasn't done.
He jumped up and swung his leg horizontally kicking him on the head causing him to spin several times on the air before landing on the ground and passed out.
Raiden moved onto the next one, as Raiden approached him, he coated his sword with green liquid and swung it towards Raiden's neck, he bent his back to dodge the attack, he dodged it but later felt something on his forehead, he touched his forehead and looked at his hand, and saw a green substance.

"Now you will die, my poison will.....," Cabal's men haven't even finished talking when Raiden suddenly arrived in front of him and punched in the stomach causing his body to bend inwards, he spat out blood and passed out.
"You…are a monster, a monster !!!" Cabal who was watching everything said and he also passed out.
