.....Year 1887
I heard the thunder rumbling as I ran for my life into the dark woods. I heard whispers from the dark as I suffer from a chronic headache. Everywhere I look , it felt like someone out there is always watching over me and every move I make. I reached a dead end, a stiff side of a cliff. Then a shadow appeared as the moon shines bright that ominous night.
.....Present Year 2024
"Wake up!!!" A girl with brunette hair color shouted at as she grabbed the pillow away from me .
She's Keira Suarez, my childhood best friend also we' re studying at the same university. She also knows all my secrets and all the guys I've dated and hooked up with.
"Hey! I'm sorry where's my manners, I'm Winter Cortez and yes I'm gay. Like obviously with my pink shirt with unicorn print on it. I'm currently studying Psychology at University of Virginia. I took that course because I love studying the behavior of every person, just kidding."
My story began when I started dreaming a weird dream, somehow it has a hint of mystery. I dreamt about a shadow of a guy taller than me staring directly at the pretty crescent moon. I was watching him from afar but not able to touch or see his face. Feels like I can move and a bright light suddenly blinded me then wake up from slumber.
"hmmm...? Strange.." Keira uttered leaving her facial expressions with a curiousity.
" I know right! I never dreamt these kinda dreams before" I replied
"Maybe you should go see a priest cuz' this doesn't feel right" Keira uttered as can't contain her laughter"
"Come on Kei! It's not funny!" I exclaimed
As we walk in into the pebbled path around downtown, the night slowly to fall. The street lights seem starting to lit up as we continue walking passed at a very nice cafe around town.
Keira and I sat on a nice classic-looking bench as I inhaled the cool air that brought chills on my nostrils.
"Mmm,I never felt this calm Keira" I uttered then smiled but somehow there's a little hint of sadness in my eyes.
" Why, something bothering you?" Keira asked.
" It's just these dreams keep bothering me, it feel so real but then at a snap of a finger I woke up then I just realized it's just a dream." I replied with confusion.
Keira took a sip on her favorite mocha latte coffee as she tried to read what I am feeling at that very moment.
" I know!" She exclaimed with excitement.
" Why don't we visit you're mom this weekend? I'm dying to taste her own recipe of apple pie." Keira uttered.
" Oh! Chill girl you can have lot of those when we get there." I replied.
Somehow the mood change a bit. The odd feeling is somehow changed with excitement as we head over to my apartment.
The next day, Keira and I packed our stuff and ready to go to my mom's house. After dinner , we rushed at the train station to catch the last trip to Abingdon.
