Xiao Yi didn't leave; he kept sitting on the bench, even when the bell indicating the start of classes rang. This was his first brazen act of skipping class, and the feeling made him somewhat uneasy.
He wanted to wait here for Lu Qingyi to come back.
"Lu Qingyi."
As soon as Lu Qingyi walked into the school, Xiao Yi saw her.
In Lu Qingyi's hands was a bag filled with groceries, evidently things like vegetables.
"What do you want?"
Lu Qingyi raised an eyebrow, her gaze icy.
"Did you go grocery shopping?"
Getting a clearer look at the bag's contents, Xiao Yi was mildly surprised.
He had always thought of Lu Qingyi as someone who was above worldly trivialities, so he never expected her to leave school to buy groceries.
"Does it concern you?"
Lu Qingyi looked at Xiao Yi with obvious befuddlement. As far as she could tell, there weren't any connections between them.
