"Little one, you should smile more."
Xu Boyan looked at the girl draped loosely in a school uniform, nonchalantly leaning against the trunk of a tree, playing with her phone.
He said softly, noticing that the little girl seemed rather unhappy.
The girl was pretty, with delicately shaped eyebrows and eyes, but she rarely smiled.
"Do you think there's any fairness in this world?"
She turned off her phone's screen, slightly raised her head to look at Xu Boyan, her tone still casual.
Only she knew how much she cared about this question, at least she used to.
Many people complain about the unfairness of fate, but is there really any fairness in this world?
The answer seemed to be none.
"Little one, there's no such thing as fairness in this world. People talk about it, but those in power always have more resources than those who have none. If you want something, you'll have to fight for it yourself."
Xu Boyan chuckled, his deep eyes landing on the girl.
