Li Susu didn't speak, eating her fruit in silence due to her guilty conscience.
As expected, her father woke up soon, and seeing her in the room, his mood significantly improved.
"Susu, you're back?"
When he came out of the room, Li Susu stood up too.
"Hey, Dad. How have you been lately? Do you feel unwell anywhere?"
The middle-aged man pulled her back down to sit on the sofa, beaming brightly. "I'm fine, don't worry about me so much. Your mom takes good care of me; my health has been getting better and better."
Li's mother smiled, "You two chat; I'm going to the kitchen to make some food to bring to your brother at school later."
After she left, Li Susu turned her gaze back to her father. His furrowed eyebrows indicated his concern for her hesitance to speak. "What's the matter, is there something you can't tell your dad? Have you run into a problem?"
"Nothing actually; it's just I met someone and became curious about something."
Li's father seemed confused. "What is it?"
