Chu Anning's face darkened momentarily, but she quickly put on a smile and moved to Jiang Tan's side. As if nothing was amiss, she raised her wine glass towards Jiang Tan: "Long time, no see."
Unexpectedly, Chu Anning had so promptly abandoned the crowd to seek her out. Jiang Tan returned the smile and, in a light tone, greeted, "Miss Chu."
Chu Anning and Jiang Tan clinked their glasses together and sat down.
Jiang Tan was no fool; she minuted everyone staring at them.
"Do you know what they are looking at?"
"No clue." Jiang Tan played dumb.
Chu Anning wasn't bothered; she looked at Jiang Tan with a keen interest and said in a soft voice, "Take a guess."
"Presumably, they're waiting to see when we'll start bickering." Jiang Tan answered nonchalantly. She maintained her smile and looked at Chu Anning, "Miss Chu, do not worry. I am here on behalf of Chenxi tonight, so I will certainly not strike first."
