The war was over. Harold Ivo successfully led the Athalaris army and House Astolfo's army to defeat Southtown. However, two of House Southtown's five family members managed to escape and went north.
Ivo ordered the scouts to pursue Peter and Nancy Southtown. This was to minimize their influence on the city people in the future.
The victory was a special gift for King Edmund as he would soon marry Melissa Hildemar. Howard was pleased with the good progress in Highvale.
