One of the soldiers escorted the group from House Lorelei into the city. Caspian and Sera could not hide their shock at finding the houses and buildings in the city were destroyed.
Some were severely damaged and even destroyed, leaving only ashes. The number was quite large; almost all northern districts were destroyed.
"How bad is this war going?" Caspian asked the soldier who escorted them.
"Quite bad. However, the Helferich Army managed to arrive in time before the total destruction of Heimrich," explained the soldier, riding right beside Caspian.
Caspian had visited Duskshire several times just before the tension on the White Coast occurred. Duskshire was famous for its seafood, and the city folk had a strong sense of mutual aid.
