"About 30,000 men," replied the Mathilde soldier, the only one alive among the thousands of Mathilde soldiers who died when they came to Lute Village and Nute Village.
"Is that so? Are you well aware of Mathilde's army commander's plan?" asked Quentin.
"I didn't know that. We're just on guard duty at the northern border," said the soldier.
He was already dressed in a T-shirt and shorts. Quentin was interrogating him in a warehouse, Norman and Geoffrey were with Quentin.
Leonil and the captains were making sure the supplies and equipment were safe from Mathilde's soldiers. He also had the medics treat some of Helferich's wounded soldiers, not many.
"So, how many soldiers are guarding the northern border?" Quentin asked.
