"How dare you say that to me?!" snapped Hector, offended when Carl said he was a smart but cruel man, incapable of compassion.
"Why are you so angry with me? Isn't that what people think of your regime?" asked Carl, glaring at Hector.
"If this is the case, it should be Adelheim that keeps—"

Kent pulled out his sword and leapt forward, pointing the blade at Carl's neck just before his younger brother could finish his statement. Carl gasped but did not step back from Kent's threat.
"Are you planning to kill me?" asked Carl, undeterred.
"Don't mention the name of the ruined house in this place. Gardenhill belongs entirely to Hildemar!" said Kent.
The man did not like it at all when anyone mentioned House Adelheim in this castle —The castle that once belonged to Adelheim. Kent thought Adelheim was gone, and there was no need to bring back the spirit of their struggle.
