"Why, My Lord?" asked several people, looking disappointed when they realized the fight between Leonil and James had just stopped for no obvious reason.
"These are my orders. Return the bet money, and please resume the party," emphasized Quentin.
"There seems to be something interesting happening here, Lord Quentin," someone said from within the crowd, instantly drawing Quentin's attention.
Some of the city folk's attention was immediately diverted to the back, looking at the man speaking boldly like that to Quentin. Lord Helferich squinted, looking towards the crowd from where the source of the voice was coming.
The voice turned out to be David Heimrich's. He had arrived out of curiosity to see the crowd in the city center, especially before the festival stage.
"David," Quentin uttered, staring intently ahead.
"You can't just cancel the bet; people will lose. You can only change their champion," David explained.
