A search was conducted by the five soldiers brought with Howard. According to the orders written on the warrant, Howard had the right to search Dieter's house until sunset.
To maximize the time, Howard called another soldier nearby, a guard post at one of the nearby T-junctions. A total of ten soldiers searched the place, with the distribution of the search areas varying from one to another.
For Dieter's family members, Howard ordered them to stay outside, either in the courtyard or temporarily at a nearby family house.
"That's how suspicious you are about me, Howard," Dieter snapped, standing with his arms crossed.
"Because you got me into this, putting your own nephew in Castlebourne and not choosing one of the Archmages on the list," Howard explained, sarcastically looking Dieter in the eye.
"Is it not my right to choose who is fit to succeed me as Archmage of Castlebourne?" asked Dieter.
