War broke out, arrows were let loose by Telmarath soldiers, and trebuchets began swinging wooden arms, throwing giant boulders towards Oldcairn.
"They're coming!" shouted Norman, ordering the soldiers to take cover and move away from where the boulders were falling.
Three boulders crashed into the city wall, and two others flew into the city and hit several warriors until their bodies were crushed, and they died instantly.
The arrows from the Telmarath soldiers had difficulty reaching the area inside the city wall. They had to walk closer to release the attack so the arrows could hit the Archibald soldiers.
Norman and Violet were still on the top of the city wall, watching the movements of the Telmarath troops, who began to mobilize their men near the city wall.
"Archers, stand by!" Norman commanded.
The archers were already in position, standing tall atop the city wall with their bows and arrows.
