He was in Carl's chamber, participating in the interrogation of the Hildemar nobleman. Carl sat on a wooden chair with his hands and feet tied, finding it difficult to break free.
The chamber's fireplace was lit, burning with black charcoal and some firewood. A hot iron was kept there and ready to stamp on Carl's body to make the man speak.
"No matter how hard you interrogate me, you won't get an answer," Carl explained, his breath hitching as many hot stamps were marked on his body.
Lord Carl was only wearing shorts without any clothes on, making his chest, abdomen, arms, and thighs get hot stamps from the iron, which were then blackened like burns.
"Until I die, I won't leak any information to you," Carl complained, insisting on his submission and obedience to Hildemar.
