Their conversation ended with Quentin ordering Hubner to pack up and leave. Sir Dorren went downstairs to the information post to retrieve a special raven for travel.
"Will they relay your message to Lord Eros?" asked Geoffrey.
"Hmm... I don't know. We never know what they're thinking," Quentin replied.
Quentin and Geoffrey stood behind the corridor window, watching Hubner's departure as he was escorted by several cavalrymen from Helferich's army. Marcella had already returned to her room to rest after a tiring day of activities at the festival.
"Perhaps Lord Eros has other plans after hearing of David's death, especially after he learned that he will ascend to become Lord of Heimrich," Quentin said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Are you talking about the possibility of Heimrich joining the Reingard alliance?" asked Geoffrey. Quentin cleared his throat without changing the look in his eyes from the front gate of Calden Castle.
