"He is a man of the opposite nature to Lord David," Hubner said.
Quentin invited Hubner to talk to him in his study. Sir Dorren and Lord Geoffrey, who had just arrived, were invited to come with Quentin. Now, Quentin was with Marcella, and the two men were in the room to talk to Hubner.

Hubner made a focused face as he stared ahead, looking at the old man in black robes and the silver necklace around his neck, quite a large necklace that was commonly called the Order of Necklace —Every Archmage and Sage of the Great House wore one.
"Lord Eros always has another view in mind whenever he addresses a decision made by Lord David," Hubner stated, standing in front of Quentin's desk, occasionally looking forward to Quentin sitting in the chair behind his desk.
