Chapter 13 - Social Media Drama

Sabrina and Nia stepped into the campus cafeteria, the echoes of whispers and sidelong glances following them like an invisible current. The exposure of Sabrina's photos with Magnus on the campus Instagram page had turned their routine visit into an unexpected spectacle.

Nia, always the beacon of support, squeezed Sabrina's arm and said, "Ignore the stares. We're here for breakfast, not a show."

Sabrina managed a half-smile, appreciating Nia's attempt to ease the tension. They found a table near the window, attempting to create a bubble of normalcy within the sea of speculative gazes.

The cafeteria staff, usually friendly and warm, exchanged hushed conversations, acknowledging the drama that had unfolded online. As the friends settled into their seats, the ambient hum of the cafeteria became a backdrop to the unspoken discussions happening around them.

Nia, sensing Sabrina's discomfort, decided to address the elephant in the room with a touch of humor. "Well, look at us, unintentional campus celebrities. Who knew our breakfast would come with a side of fame?"

Sabrina chuckled, grateful for Nia's ability to inject levity into challenging situations. "I never signed up for this, but I guess we'll have to roll with it."

As they delved into their breakfast, Sabrina couldn't help but feel the weight of the attention. Conversations nearby were hushed whenever they came close, and curious eyes followed their every move. Nia, however, kept the atmosphere light, steering their discussion toward lighter topics and shared laughter.

Exiting the cafeteria, Sabrina and Nia navigated the campus together, their friendship a source of strength amidst the unexpected attention. The exposure of Sabrina's connection to Magnus had thrust her into a new realm of campus dynamics, and as they ventured into the academic world, they faced the challenges with a united front, ready to weather the storm together.

.....

Sabrina took a deep breath as she entered her classroom, determined to face the day despite the lingering tension from the encounter with Magnus's fangirls. The incident had left a bitter aftertaste, but Sabrina refused to let it cast a shadow over her academic pursuits.

As she walked to her desk, she felt the weight of judgmental stares from a few students who were undoubtedly aware of the social media drama. The whispers and stifled laughter only added to the discomfort, but Sabrina maintained her composure.

The classroom gradually filled with students, and Sabrina focused on the upcoming lecture.

As the professor began the class, Sabrina tried to push aside the lingering effects of the bullying incident. She focused on the lecture material, participating actively in discussions and engaging with the academic environment that had always been her sanctuary.

Throughout the class, she could feel the occasional judgmental glances, but Sabrina refused to let the negativity affect her. She had chosen to rise above the drama and prove that her presence in the classroom was defined by her intelligence and dedication, not by the gossip surrounding her personal life.

As the class concluded, Sabrina gathered her belongings, ready to go back to her dorm.

After her class, Sabrina found herself yearning for some solitude and time to collect her thoughts. The idea of attending the orientation seminar for new students seemed overwhelming given the recent bullying incident and the attention surrounding her personal life. She craved the comfort of her dormitory, a familiar space where she could retreat and process the events of the day.

As Sabrina stepped out of her classroom, the echoing commotion outside immediately caught her attention. Her heart sank when she realized that the source of the disturbance was none other than Magnus, the last person she wanted to see, especially after the intimate dream that had been lingering in her mind.

Trying to maintain composure, Sabrina hesitated by the classroom door, observing the scene unfolding in the hallway. Magnus, surrounded by a group of curious onlookers and probably some of his fangirls, appeared to be engaged in animated conversation.

Sabrina found herself face-to-face with Magnus. The lingering images of her erotic dream clashed with the reality of the moment, making Sabrina's discomfort palpable.

"Hello," Magnus greeted Sabrina with a slight smile.

Sabrina came back to her senses when she heard his magnetic voice"Hello"

Magnus ignored the surroundings, he deliberately shifted his attention solely to her, seemingly oblivious to the curious gazes and whispers from the surrounding students. At that moment, it was as if the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them in a private sphere.

Magnus reached and gently took her backpack from her shoulders. Like it was a regular thing between them. Sabrina completely came to her senses when he took the backpack. her face became and her breathing quickened when she inhaled his scent. there was another round of gasps in the crowd. Sabrina felt confused by his behavior.

"What's your plan for the afternoon" Magnus asked Sabrina. while adjusting her backpack on his shoulders.

"Nothing much" Sabrina replied looking at his movements. Ignoring the surrounding noise.

"How about joining me for lunch," Magnus asked as he wanted to spend time with Sabrina.

Sabrina found herself caught in a moment of hesitation when he extended an invitation to lunch. The recent attention and the vivid dream about Magnus had added layers of complexity to their interactions, leaving Sabrina in a state of uncertainty.

As she stood there, Magnus awaiting her response, Sabrina's mind raced with conflicting thoughts. The prospect of spending more time with Magnus was both intriguing and nerve-wracking. On one hand, there was a desire to explore the connection that seemed to be unfolding between them. On the other hand, the recent events and the attention surrounding Magnus made her apprehensive.

Sabrina struggled internally, chided herself, and thought internally. 'It's just lunch, Sabrina. What's the harm in spending a bit more time with him? You can always use a distraction from all the chaos.'Sabrina took a deep breath, torn between curiosity and caution.

"We can find a quiet spot away from the crowd" Magnus suggested after seeing various emotions in her eyes.

"Sure," Sabrina agreed after thinking that there was nothing wrong with having lunch with him.

Magnus's face lit up with genuine delight, and he suggested a nearby eatery. Despite her lingering hesitations, Sabrina recognized the opportunity to navigate through the complexities of their connection and, perhaps, discover more about the enigmatic figure that was Magnus.

Magnus and Sabrina's interaction flowed seamlessly as if they shared a natural rapport that went beyond the complexities of their recent encounters. Magnus, despite his popularity and the attention that surrounded him, behaved with a genuine and effortless demeanor when around Sabrina, as if their connection was a common and cherished aspect of his daily life.
