Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The system

To brezer: Bilbo is a Bimbo

At a street corner two classmates were getting in a tussel. The fight forced them onto the road.

A truck blazed by someone nearly hitting a man but not avoiding the two. A ahead on collision sent the pair flying into a bloody mess, their organs scattered onto the road.

Nathan woke up in a cold sweat, the moonlight that seeped through the curtain walls said it was dark. He looked for a better view. It was midnight at least. He looked at his surroundings, a bed room. A small one.

He had a clock, it read 1:38 so his time estimation wasn't too far off. Before he could recollect what happend at sharp headache hit him like a truck. He fell onto the wooden narrowly dodging his bed frame.

Memories of a past life, but not his. Someone else's which he stole. They had the same first name as him, Nathan, but a different last name, Rabenklaues. Another ringing in his head cuased him to mentally prepare. He was meet with some monotonous words "Successfully inherited Suaron's will"

Suaron? Like the Dark lord of Mordor? The one ring Suaron?

A spine chilling voice spoke, like spirit it's voice echoed "Yes....." he shook in his clothes. "I am your humble guide, sweet dreams child, sweet, sweet dreams"

Nathan laid down on the sofa bed, and wrapped them tightly around himself. He drifted off to sleep to only wake up once more. But he was not in the room.

He was in a desolate place, vinve covered stone. He stepped forward but he had no feeling in his foot. His eyes were drawn to his restless body. He was but a spirit, like a miasma. He was not solid. As he moved more and adapted to this new form he felt a sense of power and arrogance. Memories of ancient war started to flood his mind, techniques his mind seemed more complex, like an ellagant spiders web instead of a shoddy uncoordinated

Saurons' snake voice spoke again "I am not your only help, there is a system set in place to aid you in your future endeavors, to call it out you need only to speak the words "System I call upon you, let me claim my power, and use it to devour, let them cower beneath my power"

Nathan regurgitated Suarons' words "System I call upon you, let me claim my power, and use it to devour, let them cower beneath my power!!!" his words were like a roar.

A blue rectangular screen appeard before him. It was thin as a razors' edge but as solid as tungsten.

Unbowed, unbent, unbroken

The trio of words brought a thought to Nathan's mind. Why should I listen to anyone, I am a god now.

Nathan observed the pale blue screen more, it's intricate detailing and the options. Status, Shop, Quests, inventory. His hands reached down and pressed on Shop.

A parade of magical items sat upon the screen. Narsil, Anglachel,Glamdring, Barrow blades, and so many more swords. Those were only a fraction of the weaponry, there were magical rings more then just the 19 rings of power, the lesser rings. Amour, of many origins. The most peculiar part of it was the soldiers, you could buy soldiers.

Orcs, Uruk-kái, Easterlings, olog-hai, cave trolls, lesser dragons, the mouth of Sauron, Nazgûl.

The really odd part was the Nazgûl were still there, I could feel a tug at my soul, like a string.

I don't know what I'm saying, this whole situation was odd. This system isn't so different from the sorts I'd see in media so quest must be how I get points. His pointer finger pressed On the quest tab.

Kill 20 Elves- 3500 S.P

Enforce your Maia will on a non organic object- 500 S.P

Obtain a Dwarvish Ring of Power- 250 S.P

Why would the last question be so cheap, there are only 19 rings of power. Over the entirety of middle earth. So one must have been nearby, maybe the ring was one of the strings drawing to him?

His body glided around the scenic fortress. It didn't take him long to figure out where he was, Dol Guldor. So lothlorien was to the south, Erobor and Wood elves were to the north, the Misty mountains to the west, and the Wilderlands to the east.

Wait!!

Dol Guldor, Thráín the second was in Gol Guldor around the time of the hobbit. So I'm some time around 60 years before the events of the lord of the rings. Thráín was a weilder of one of the rings of power.

The memories which clouded my mind from even thought were slwoly becoming less recent.

Where is that little Dwarvish bastard. I walked around, causeways and all manner of the castles appendages. It was empty, nothing was there but bones and rusted equipment. swords, spears, and axes laid scattered about like the holders just dissapered. They weren't rusted it must have been very recent. The piles of fresh dog shit spoke of the same tale. Well not dog shit, warg shit.

So the ring must be on the ground somewhere, this just made the search and thousand times harder.

I spent countless hours scanning the floors of Dol Guldor. It all came to a head once my 'eyes' spotted a ring along the dusted floor.

One with a clean cut dark blue gem, with a golden band. Intricate designs rode along it befitting of a Ring of Power.

My hands reached out and I could feel a connection just not a string. So that string must lead to other paths.

Just as the ring fitted onto my spiritual hand there was a sharp plucking at my soul. I was forced back into the other world.

The difference between this body and the spiritual body were night and day, despite the difference they still combined just not well. He could feel the trace amounts of the spiritual body left over.
