Chapter 9 - mysterious moth, Gojira's first dungeon

Beneath the ominous glow of the burning ruins of Mythralis, Godzilla, the colossal force of nature, vented his anger with thunderous roars. Turning away from the chaos left in his wake, the mighty creature retreats towards the deep ocean, lamenting humanity's ceaseless pursuit of conflict.

As Godzilla disappeared into the depths of the ocean, King Valthorn, standing amidst the remnants of his shattered kingdom, muttered in frustration,

"Cursed lizard."

His solitary moment was interrupted as a squadron of guards spotted him, swiftly making their way towards their fallen king.

The guards, concerned for King Valthorn's well-being, carefully examined him and discovered a sizable cut on his back.

The injury, inflicted by the debris when the titan Tyroth landed hours ago, became evident as they removed his cape.

The guard swiftly called for healing mages, urgently summoning them to tend to their wounded king

Quickly summoning healing mages, the guards tended to their wounded king, addressing the injury inflicted during the chaotic events.

Concerned for the well-being of his children, King Valthorn inquired about the situation of Prince Derick and Princess Lumilea. Thrash, one of the guards, responded,

"Your Majesty, as of now, the safety and whereabouts of Prince Derick and Princess Lumilea remain unknown."

Realizing that he had sent Derick and Lumilea off without informing anyone, King Valthorn couldn't help but exclaim in his mind

"Right."

On the other hand, Derick and Lumilea took initiative to send a letter to their father using a crow.

Derick's mind swirled with thoughts, contemplating the fate of his father. Regardless, he remained vigilant throughout the night, standing guard to protect his vulnerable sister.

Derick, using a dagger, carves a letter on a piece of wood, calling upon a crow to deliver it. In the deep woods, he hears approaching footsteps.

Derick, growing wary of the approaching footsteps, picks up his sword and points it toward the source of the sound.

An injured girl emerges from the thick

bushes

Surprised, Derick rushes to aid the tired girl, noticing the blood covering her.

"Are you okay?!"

As Derick inquired about her well-being, the girl, with a faint voice, uttered,

"monster,"

before succumbing to unconsciousness.

Derick, concerned by the girl's words, he thinks In his mind, "is she a citizen of Mythralis?. It can't be... has our homeland lost to the kingdom of Elysium?!"

After a moment of contemplation, Derick carefully placed the little girl next to Lumilea.

The next morning

The girl, now awake, noticed she was bandaged and completely healed. She observed Derick, still asleep with a sword at hand.

Exclaiming,

"That man saved me,"

she prepared mushroom soup as a token of gratitude for Derick's kindness. The aroma of the soup woke up both Derick and Lumilea.

Lumilea wakes up, exclaiming,

"What's that smell..? It smells good!"

Emi hands out bowls of mushroom soup to both of them. While Lumilea devours her food, the girl introduces herself as Emi and expresses gratitude to Derick, saying,

"Mister, thank you for saving my life.

Derick replies,

"It's no big deal, it's natural to help someone in need."

Emi smiles and says,

"You're really a kind mister."

Derick, concerned and curious thinking she's from mythrais. He asks about what had happened to her, with a sad and fearfull look she begins to tell derick

Emi and her party were drawn to a beautiful song echoing from a large door, resembling an entrance to a dungeon.

They believed it led to a holy being offering a legendary weapon, so they rushed inside.

In the dungeon, they found two fairies singing the song

"mosura mosura,"

which had attracted them. Lancelot, the hero from Elysium, approached the fairies, declaring himself there for the holy weapon.

The fairies stared blankly, annoying Lancelot. Offended, he pulled out his sword and demanded the holy weapon.

Emi tried to stop him, and suddenly, a giant moth resembling a beautiful angel appeared.

Enchanted by its beauty, Emi's awe was interrupted when Lancelot launched a fireball attack at the moth out of fear.

This provoked the moth, which began to glow in radiant light, while the fairies continued singing

"mosura a mosura a."

Emi closed her eyes to shield herself from the brightness, and when she opened them, all that remained were the bones of her once alive comrades.

Unable to revive them due to depleted mana, Emi heard wolves howl in the distance and rushed into the forests.

Pursued continuously by the wolves until nightfall, she managed to escape and walked injured until stumbling upon Derick.

After sharing her story with Derick, he exclaims,

"A giant moth? That doesn't sound like any of my father's captured beasts."

After some thought, Derick concludes that Emi must be far from Mythralis, and the current situation of their homeland is unknown to him

. He plans to return to Mythralis after he heals and invites Emi to join them, to which Emi happily agrees.

Deep in the ocean, Godzilla sensing a familiar Kaiju soaring through the air and exclaims,

"What's this?"

Without dwelling too much on it, he heads deeper into the ocean.

After swimming for a few hours, he senses another powerful creature emanating from a massive door on the seafloor.

He stops his swimming and, driven by curiosity, heads closer to the massive door.

He sniffs the door, and suddenly it starts to open, sucking Godzilla in.

Despite his efforts to escape, after a few hours he wakes up and he finds himself in a massive dungeon. Confused, he thinks to himself,

"Where the heck am I?"

As he looks down, puny human skeletons attack his feet. Unfazed, Godzilla begins to march deeper into the dungeon.

In the depths of the dungeon, Atlania, a powerful woman serving under the demon king, senses Godzilla's powerful presence. She smiles in anticipation, as if she has caught a new toy, and exclaims,

"Finally... a new toy."
