Chereads / Godzilla: sent to another world / Chapter 2 - Clash of Titans

Chapter 2 - Clash of Titans

Gojira wandered among the vast forest, taking his time to learn and absorb the strange new energy he had felt ever since he entered this world.

Opening his palm, he tries to gather this energy, to his palm. Like how he gathers radiation to his dorsals to fire an atomic breath.

Successfully doing so, surprisingly it suddenly takes form of a glowing cyan colored orb.

The energy seemed to try to link with Gojira spiritually, as if attempting to make him part of the world.

Confused, he tried to smell it.

As he was testing this new energy, the surrounding residents were overwhelmed by it. To them, it felt immense and powerful.

Many creatures felt this energy and ran in the opposite direction in fear.

A group of men in the forest also felt this immense energy; one of them exclaimed, "W-what is this intense mana?! It's way too immense!"

"W-what if it's the demon king?!"

This assumption was enough to spook them and make them flee.

After observing this ball of energy, Gojira tried to dissipate it by shaking it off, but to no avail.

"Why won't this thing get off me?!"

Suddenly, the ground begins to rumble

Something was approahing

.

.

A herd of huge mammoths made their way to Gojira. It seemed they sensed Gojira's overwhelming energy and were provoked.

Gojira felt their approach and stood on guard. The stampede made the ground rumble.

The herd finally faced Gojira. They all had dark skin and white fur, with crystal-like spikes protruding from their backs. They all stood half Gojira's size.

Gojira roared in anticipation, while the glowing orb remained in his hand.

The herd began moving away for something, confusing Gojira. And there stood a massive mammoth, dwarfing every other mammoth.

Gojira analyzed the enemy and planned for a quick battle.

The elephant stomped, shaking the ground, while it raised its horns and trunk, assuming an intimidation position.

Both stared intently.

Gojira roared, provoking the king mammoth to charge headfirst. The mammoth rammed Gojira at full speed.

Gojira grunted in struggle but proceeded to match the Mammoth's strength. He grabbed the horns; the mammoth tried to ground Gojira and topple him. The mammoth slowly overwhelmed him with its strength, pinning Gojira into a nearby steep mountain.

Gojira grunted in pain but tried to bite off the mammoth's trunk. Suddenly, the mammoth stood on its hind legs and used its other limbs to punch Gojira to the ground.

Now grounded, the mammoth tried to crush Gojira with its weight.

Enraged, Gojira tried to slash with its claws where the glowing orb was. The slash was empowered by Gojira's mana and ultimately slashed the king mammoth in two.

The half-alive mammoth coughed from pain. Gojira, not wasting time, grabbed the other half of the king mammoth. He began to stuff the Mammoth's head into his mouth and with a loud crunch, crushed the Mammoth's head under his own jaws.

Savoring the taste of the crystal-spiked mammoth, the mammoth tasted like no other meat he had tasted.

"Hmm, I like this taste.."

He began to gain more of this mana energy from the crystallized mammoth, further intensifying the taste to Gojira's liking.

The herd, looking at the grotesque scene of their leader being devoured, backed away and ran in fear.

Roaring in triumph, he began to enjoy his victory.

In the distance, a human spy observed Gojira's triumphant victory.

"How fascinating," he said as he ran back to report to his instructor.

One of the knights reported the recent event that just occurred.

"Sire, a stampede of mammoths was found running away from the source of the mana out in the Mythra forest."

"It also appears to have killed Rudolf, the mammoth king."

The king was further intrigued by this, as it was one of the most powerful assets to his army, and he stood from his throne.

"You may instruct the preparation for the capture; you will have three days to do so," he said.

"As you wish, my lord," the knight responded as he left the room.

The ring on the king began to emanate with dark mana.

As night fell, Gojira took refuge inside a spacious cave. He dragged along three wyverns in his jaws and swallowed them just before preparing to sleep.

But a tarantula of huge proportions loomed on the rooftop of the cave, slowly sneaking up on Gojira, preparing an ambush.

Just before the spider lands a bite, Gojira tail-slapped the tarantula to the walls.

Gojira roared and exclaimed in his mind, "Kumonga!! You're here too!"

The spider stood up, confused about why Gojira called her that. But caring less, she attempted another strike.

Gojira swiped away the spider once again and stomped, pinning her to the ground.

"You're persistent as ever, Kumonga, but just like then, you will die!"

The spider, not getting the time to comprehend her situation, was ultimately killed under Gojira's weight. Green blood splashed everywhere, but Gojira couldn't care less.

And so he took his nap.

.

.

.

Next morning, Gojira woke up and noticed the spider corpse was gone.

"Could someone have taken it away?"

Gojira, confused and hungry, looked for the thief and corpse.

Unbeknownst to him, the spider had shape-shifted into a small human girl. Terrified, the girl sneakily ran away.

As she was finally going to escape, she was caught by Gojira, who held her in his sharp claws. Gojira looked at the girl and then let go.

"Too small for food.."

The girl was thrown to the ground. Feeling mocked and insulted, she threw a stone at Gojira.

"You dare call the queen of Mythra Forest small?! You're lucky I cannot transform back yet!"

But Gojira couldn't care less than to search for sustenance.

Annoyed, the girl began to follow Gojira secretly. And suddenly she stumbled upon a familiar skeleton.

"Is that... RUDOLF?! Who killed you?!"

The spider girl was spooked and curious about the death of Rudolf the mammoth.

She had assumed that the king of Mythralis had decided to kill Rudolf. But with this conclusion, she also assumed they are after her as well.

"Does that mean they are after me too?! Traitors, traitors, traitors!"

She shifted her attention to Gojira. She had something planned and she ran away to get something.

Gojira was frustrated with the lack of prey to eat.

"Nothing to kill and eat.. not even an ounce of radiation to feed on."

As he was about to return back to the sea, the spider girl dragged a massive mammoth in just her human form. Gojira was impressed by this human.

"Is this human offering this food to me? Typical humans and their god worshippinh.. whatever I'll play along for the food."

Just before he was about to devour the corpse, the girl yelled, "Hey, you have to make a deal!"

Gojira looked at the girl in confusion. This human girl can speak Kaiju language. And then he realized from her familiar energy and voice he assumed.

"Kumonga? Where did you go, you were food."

"You were gonna eat me?! Gross!"

Gojira, annoyed by her presence and rambling, began to devour the meat.

Annoyed, the girl spewed web-like material out from her mouth, annoying Gojira.

Gojira roared in annoyance. "What is it that you want?"

"Make an alliance with me!" the girl declared.

Gojira loomed closer and gazed at the girl. "... I don't do partnerships with weak Kaijus such as you. If you want assistance, you will have to submit to me."

The spider girl, dumbfounded by his answer, got annoyed but then realized she had no choice. A collar that emanated dark mana was bound to her like a curse.

The girl exclaimed, "But you will have to help me destroy someone! Also, my name is not Kumonga!"

Gojira, caring not, swiped away her request. "A king does not take orders from his lowly subordinates, and I do not take part in human affairs."

Gojira had sensed her intentions way before, surprising the girl.

"I will only destroy when I need to."

The girl was disappointed with this but decided to follow Gojira.

For the rest of the days, the spider girl or Kumonga spent her time teaching Gojira about 'mana'.

"Mana. Mana is a spiritual energy that every living being possesses. They are the source of all magic. They came to this world thousands of years ago."

The spider girl opened his palm and generated a ball of mana energy. She began to explain more.

"Mana is a being created by the heavens to battle the demon king that was wreaking havoc on the world. Mana was created by pure soul energy gathering and fusing, forming into what we now call 'Mana'. It took the form of a faceless man that was glowing brightly; he was completely made of mana energy."

"Mana descended onto the mortal realm, and there he fought the demon king."

The fight between mana itself against the demon king was intense, shaking the world as they clashed.

"But although he was powerful, the demon king proved to be able to adapt. Slowly he adapted and evolved, eventually creating an alternative mana. A demonic mana."

"An energy that used Hell's eternal flames, extending its capabilities to astronomical levels. Such power was never witnessed by the heavens before."

The skies went dark, the sea raged in fury, as space, time, and reality started to bend around the clash.

"And with this, the demon king eventually defeated the mana being. But before it could be extinguished, it scattered itself around the world, giving every ounce of energy left to be used by the mortals. The supernatural energy that is mana bestowed itself upon the subjects of this world and allowed them to fully progress with mana."

The spider girl began to ignite the ball of mana with fire.

She aimed this ball of fire at a floating island in the distance. This ball of fire slowly changed from fiery orange to blue hue, signifying an increase in power and heat.

"Recognize that fire is essentially a form of plasma, consisting of charged particles and ions. By generating and controlling plasma through ionization processes, such as with high-energy electromagnetic fields or electrical discharge, you can create and shape flames with precision."

This ball of blue fire started to spin rapidly, and eventually, the spider girl unleashed the ball of fire.

The fire made contact with the floating land and without even seconds. The land was completely decimated to dust.

But Gojira was unimpressed by this and showed a blank face.

The spider girl smirked at Gojira, thinking she had impressed the king. But to her surprise, his dorsal fins started to glow in fiery orange.

"So much process for a simple flame ball."

"What are you doing?"

Gojira's dorsal fins started to glow fiery orange, confusing the spider girl.

"I don't feel any surge of mana. What are you even doing?"

And suddenly, Gojira blasted a powerful beam, piercing through multiple floating lands. Shocking the spider girl.

Gojira began to glow down and exclaimed.

"How's that for fire magic."

Shocked, the spider girl sat on the ground, impressed by the sheer power of a manaless attack.

Gojira, caring less, walked away.

"I'm hungry."

After a few days, Gojira grew accustomed to the new environment. He began to think of moving to another continent.

"But you can't leave yet! You have not fulfilled my request! No, I will be killed!"

Gojira, caring less about her, started to head where the ocean was. The girl stood there, frustrated.

Suddenly, a loud horn was blown from the distance, signaling a war.

Gojira looked back at the human army and stood proudly, looking down on them.

The spider girl, who still hadn't gained the full strength to transform back, took refuge in a safe place.

Gojira roared in anticipation of the army, the king glared at Gojira as its ring glowed in purple.

Gojira roared once again and started to charge, unbeknownst to him, traps were prepared just for him.

Gojira stomped and charged, suddenly his other leg fell into a deep pit, causing Gojira to stumble.

The king ordered the men to commence the wyvern troops, an army of wyverns approached and circled Gojira from the sky.

"Ready. Aim."

All the wyverns' mouths started to catch on fire, readying for an attack.

"Fire!"

As instructed, the army of wyverns circled Gojira while firing a barrage of fireballs.

Gojira growled in annoyance, attempting to bite one of the wyverns but failing.

All the wyverns suddenly started to spread out, confusing Gojira. From the distance, huge ballistas seemed to aim straight at Gojira.

The bolts on the ballistas were embedded with gallons of poison, made to knock out several dragons. The king had expected a battle with Gojira to be this hard, so he planned way ahead.

With one order, the ballistas fired simultaneously at Gojira, but the poison didn't seem to work yet.

The wyverns continued their barrage of attacks on Gojira's dorsal fins, causing Gojira to grunt in pain. Gojira opened his mouth, and his pupils intensified.

Gojira unleashed a new ability -sonic roar-. Massive concentrated sonic energy destroyed all the projectiles as well as causing a strong shockwave, destroying multiple mountain ranges.

All the wyverns began to retreat while the army prepared for another barrage of projectiles.

The spider girl ran away from the danger, but she felt something stirring in the sky, a roar occurred, and a pterodactyl-like silhouette flew at sonic booming speed. Heading towards Gojira's location.

"I-is that?!" Spider girl exclaimed as she ran away from its direction.

Gojira battled the tactical Mythralis army, with armies of wyverns firing while hundreds of projectiles try to penetrate and subdue Gojira.

the army suddenly stopped its assault. The king's ring began to pulse in glowing purple again.

"Fire demon, come forth!"

In the sky, a menacing aura can be felt. stealing Gojira's focus.

Gojira roared in anticipation, as he slammed his feet and tail to the ground.

A familiar roar can be heard from the skies, and suddenly a rain of fire spiraled towards gojira

Gojira defends himself by blocking, and then a silhouette of a giant bird on fire crashed onto gojira, causing a massive earthquake and debris

Gojira was pinned down to the ground with it's talons, in the distance the king ordered

"Assist the fire demon, he cannot take down this tyrant alone. "

"The army will proceed as commanded."

In the dusty debris a familiar roar can be heard.
