Sitting inside the stone house, Caleb Li looked at the five old men with gray hair. Only their village head had pure white hair.
Looking at the group of old men staring at him, Caleb Li did not feel intimidated at all as he also kept on staring at them.
"You must be here for the totem?" said the village Chief with an aged voice.
"Yes," Caleb Li nodded.
"There are many outsiders that come seeking the ancient totem, but none of them was worthy of it. Young one, are you worthy of it?"
"If I'm not worthy, will you allow me in your village?"
When the group of old men heard his response, their aged faces creased, marring with a frown.
"You're right, young one. If you're not worthy, you'd be dead by now," the Village Chief said without any change in expression.
No one could detect what was going on in his mind.
"There is a totem in this region, but there is a prize for it. Are you ready to pay the price?"
