Year - 208, Spotted city
It was a warm spring day in Spotted City, where the border between United Republic of Barbic and the People's Republic of Mitia remained as peaceful as ever. A young Barbic couple, both in their early twenties, found themselves on a business trip in the Mitia. The Barbic man, with broad shoulders and a muscular build that made him tower over everyone in the Mitia, boldly expressed racist sentiments against the Mitians. Few scars in his face, his wolf-like sharp fangs and his gaze full of disdain made him look like predator ready to hunt.Â
"These mitian dogs have built lot of fortunes with our suffering," he exclaimed.
"Stop, honey. What if someone here understands Barbic?" his Barbic woman said with concern.
She was a woman with long black hair and eyes that resembled two black holes, a typical Barbic woman in terms of height. However, she seemed to stand at least 10 cm (4 inches) taller than all the Mitian women around her. Despite her plain attire—a blue sundress, sandals, and a floppy hat—her smile radiated happiness, as if she were the happiest person in the world. She sees through Tabu like its a book, and she was well aware of the true reason behind their trip to another country for a vacation.
As they strolled through the park, they reached a small bridge, where Tabu got down on his knees, pulled out a silver ring and nervously asked, "I know you are already two months pregnant, and I shouldn't have made a mistake when I was drunk. But I want you to know I love you and want to be a proper father to your child and a loving husband to you. Yuna, my love, would you like to marry me?"
Tabu, a proud and fearless man, had a reputation for expressing racist, homophobic, and sexist views without fear. However, as Yuna took her time answering, he felt true fear for the first time. He feared Yuna might turn him down, and for the first time, he couldn't meet her gaze directly.
Yuna, with a fulfilled smile, replied, "Of course, I love you too. Yes, you were drunk that night, but I don't regret it."
Relieved, Tabu danced around like a child, placing the ring on her finger and gently kissing it. They continued their walk through the park, discussing their future.
"How many kids would you like to have?" Yuna asked.
"As many as you want," Tabu replied.
"Henh, can we raise that many people?" Yuna wondered.
"My father used to say, 'As long as people are alive, there is a way.' We will find a way," Tabu assured her.
"You are as simple as stone. That's what makes you cute, though. There's a marketplace nearby. Let's buy some souvenirs for the family," Yuna suggested.
"Yes, honey," Tabu agreed, and as he grabbed her hands tightly, he turned peach red.
After buying some goods, they stumbled upon an ice cream shop in the distance.
"I want to eat some ice cream," Yuna said.
"Let's buy some from the hotel," Tabu suggested.
"No, I want to eat it now," Yuna insisted.
"Are you a kid? We have a lot to carry. I don't want to carry all these to the hotel."
"Am I saying I want to eat? Your baby is craving it. If you don't want to carry all these, just leave me here with them. I will be watching over them. So be quick," Yuna retorted.
"Okay, I'm sorry. But I don't want to leave you. Let's go together," Tabu pleaded.
"You know what, I don't feel like walking. Just leave me."
"No, I'm not leaving you alone, especially when all these Mitian trashes surrounded you."
"Stop with the Mitian hating, at least in their own country, for God's sake. It's alright. I am fine," Yuna reassured him.
"Okay, I am sorry. I'll be quick," Tabu said. But deep down there was this eerie feeling. His primal instinct was telling him not to go as if there was something wrong with ice cream shop. However, Yuna seemed bit irritated and last thing he wants to do was making now his pregnant bride, Yuna angry, so he ran off to the ice cream shop as fast as he can. As he entered, he grabbed one from each flavor, because he did not know which one Yuna liked. Inside his head he was feeling guilt for not knowing anything about her. But now is not place to waste time, he cuts the line without second thought. A Mitian middle aged man in line confronted him in Mitian,Â
"Hey, why are you cutting the line?"
"Hanh, what did you say, Mitian trash? Wanna die?" Tabu threatened in Barbic, fangs bared. The Mitian man did not understand what he said, but backed down immediately in fear. Tabu did not know Mitian language but numbers were universal, he threw 5 Mitian Nayu at the cashier and quickly rushed back to Yuna.
However, upon his return, he found only a few bags of the items they had bought. He was awestruck, in disbelief, and gripped by fear. He roared at the top of his lungs,
"YUNA, YUNA, YUNAAAAAAA, where are you?"
Panicking, he asked people around him for help. It was rare for seeing him bow down, let alone bowing to Mitian people. His pride would have never allowed it if it was not for Yuna.
"Excuse me, have you seen a girl with a blue sundress?"
"Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, madam "
"Have you seen a girl with a blue sundress?"
"Excuse me, Excuse me, Excuse me …"
The Mitians did not understand Barbic so they just looked at him weird. He can't find any traces of her. He was shocked not knowing what to do. After fooling around 30 minutes , lots of people surrounded him like he is crazy person. Then one guy:
"Are you a fellow barbic person? I haven't seen her. But me and my friends will try to help? What did she look like? "
"Ok thank god another barbic person. She was wearing floppy hat sandals and a sundress. And she was wearing silver ring on her ring finger." As he said that, his voice starts to shatter. Fear was taking him over. He was ready to fight a wild boar if it meant finding Yuna.Â
Few other barbic people have arrived, they split up and search for Yuna. But nothing.Â
Tears streamed down his face for the first time as he ran around desperately searching for Yuna. Despite the assistance of other Barbic people, they couldn't find any trace of her. Tabu felt powerless and in despair, his fear for Yuna's safety consuming him.
"Yuna, where are you?"
