Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19

CHAPTER 19

John returned to the village and informed the village chief about the deal with the elf village. The village chief was ready to inform all to reduce the possibilities of conflict. John returned to his place and created a huge building and created some metal-droid and metal-androids. He lay down and started eating the food. He lay down and slept. There is nothing to do with the world. He decided to let the world come to him. He is going to kill one when the bad ones come and keep the good ones when they come.

John woke up to find that three days had passed. Time was relative and he was not affected by sleep and staying awake. He went outside and met Ryan. He had done the things told to him properly and he gave him a tier one metal-vitality core. What he wants is a warrior, not a mage.

Ryan was happy to get the vitality and practiced at his home. He used his power to create a better house than a wooden house for him. He did not want his subordinate to be looked down upon. Ryan was really happy and kept thanking him. John accepted it happily. Bernard came to him and he had also become a knight. He was the village chief and the father of Ryan. The reason that Ryan was able to become a knight easily was due to the food fed to him as higher-level food would make the body stronger.

Bernard came to him and bowed and said, "The elves have been waiting for two days. They have bought a lot of food."

John looked at him and said, "It seems their want for mana core is higher than I think."

John went to them and saw the huge amount of meat piled up. The meat was wrapped in Rosen-leaves that would make it preserved. John looked at it and nodded. He took a second-tier metal mana core and gave it to the elf. The elf bowed and left. He looked at the food and asked Bernard, "Can you contact some chefs to come here. They will have better houses and some vitality cores. They will be working for me."

Bernard asked, "You just have to spread the message my lord as long as you are not interesting in hiding."

John said, "Spread the message."

Bernard nodded. John looked at him standing besides him to fulfill all his needs. It seems that he is interested in having his son grow up to be a strong knight and he will be taking care of the meagre jobs. John looked at him and said, "Spread the news to the merchants that I have made a metal as strong as the mithril but specific to conducting vitality not mana. Those interested can come to this village. Are you well versed in Accounts?"

Bernard said, "My father was the baron and I was well taught."

John asked, "How is the inheritance of your family in terms of power?"

Bernard said, "My family is a knight family."

John asked, "Do you want to take back the lordship?"

Bernard shook his head. No one can understand the wizard as each one is lunatic in their own senses. He said, "I have made an oath that I will not fight for the house. It will allow my son to have the exercise as long as he does not spread it to others."

John looked at him and smiled and said, "That is a good idea. You can work under me. Take this think. This is a calculator made for counting and summing up the values. This book shows how to use the calculator."

Bernard took it and said, "Thank you lord. What do you want to do with the village?"

John said, "Who is the ruler above the village?"

Bernard said, "This is the village made by my pioneer friend who was a lone knight. This village is under no one and since you have come here, this village will be absolutely under you."

John said, "What about him?"

Bernard said, "Killed by a second order orc."

John said, "His descendants should be pretty talented I suppose."

Bernard hesitated to speak and John looked at him intently. John did not hate evil by evil done against their own people was not something he liked. Bernard said, "My lord. He has a daughter only and is the fiancée of my daughter. If you are interested I can send her to you."

John said, "I have no interest in some village women and even if she is beautiful I have no interest in taking the women of my subordinates. I am not that bad. You don't have to worry. I will bless them on their marriage and make sure that the sanctity of their marriage is kept."

Bernard was thankful that the mage was not interested in his daughter-in-law. He knew more than what the nobles were and he also knew that the mages disdained to lie as if he wanted there would be many knights to come under him and if he wanted the knights would be happy to let their mothers, wife and daughters serve the mage with initiative happily. Bernard had come here with his friend as both of them were not talented and he did not have enough resources to break through. The mages and nobles did not like the village and having a double knight would make the village stronger and that was why he went to challenge an orc to get the vitality core. It was only after coming here that he understood how blessed were those citizens even when they were exploited. Having a proper mage that was not interested in evil magic was a good chance and having him not being the lunatic was a good think. He was happy that the mage was one who had proper rules of honor. He did not want his son to lose his wife.

Bernard bowed and said, "Thank you sir. I will make sure to hold the marriage of Ryan and Lucy under your care."

John said, "You can decide the marriage whenever you want. Just so you know, my goodness is only for my own people. I am extremely evil towards outsiders and will also not care if you provoke some stronger enemies and die even if I can kill them all. I will only kill to keep my pride and I will make sure the one under me who made trouble would be killed."

Bernard smiled and said, "As you wish sir. I will be following your order." He was satisfied to find that his lord was a lazy person just enjoying the life. He looked at him and asked, "Since we have the meat source, should we try to train more knights and stop the farming."

John said, "I will only accept those who can break through the knight realm under me. Others have to get their own sources of food and clothing. I will pay when they work for me but do not expect me to train them and let them grow. I am enough to keep myself and my property safe including my subordinates."

Bernard said, "Yes sir."

John said, "Tell the elves next time to just take the core and give the whole body of the beast. You can keep other things other than meat and sell it for money and food. You don't need to stop your normal jobs. I will not help in other matters. You can take one-twentieth of the total proceeding of what you get after you sell. You can become something like the mayor of town for this city. Take care of this city."

Bernard said, "Yes sir."

-------------------------------------------------------------

Paul was working at the restaurant that was managed by the rich man. His brother was a knight and had considerable status in the town. He worked for baron and hence had the permission to open the restaurant. Pual looked at the meat he was processing and was unhappy as the fat man kept shouting at him. He would have been happier if he was a warrior or at-least a pan-warrior. He got tired of having worked the whole day and returned to his small room shared by his three friends. York looked at Paul and gave him an orange to make him relax. The other two were construction workers and have slept due to heavy workload and less food.

Rock smiled and sat across him on the bed. Paul smiled and ate two slices and gave the rest to Rock. The cooks were at least able to be satisfied with food intake unlike other workers. Rocks father was a knight and as he was a second son he could only come here. He was an apprentice to an apothecary whose profession only lay in the range of treating common people. Rock asked, "How was the day?"

Paul said, "The same as usual. It seems that the fat bastard does not want me to leave to other restaurant and is making it difficult for me."

Rock said, "I have got information that the baron is looking for a cook and the manager wants his son to get in. He wants to suppress you for that."

Paul said, "I have no interest in going to the nobles. I have no background to take care of it."

Rock said, "That is why you are not dead in some corner but still alive here."

Paul said, "I really envy you."

Rock said, "And what? Travel between villages hoping to find someone willing to treat their disease. We are neither potion masters and neither the alchemists. I am only an apprentice. If it were not for my father, I would not even have the money to stay here and have some food. At least you are able to have enough food in your daily life."

Both of them sat there in silence as they did not know what to do. They may not even be able to get married and may not survive till middle age due to not being able to work. Rock sighed and gave the letter to Paul and Paul took it and read. He did not have any good feelings and thought that his mother was asking for more food. He really loved them but he also wanted to stay here alive. If you do not rise to the ranks, then you fall down to the bottom.

Paul read the letter and he was surprised and jumped up in happiness. Toby and Tony looked at him in anger as they had woken up. Paul did not care for them and read it again and again. Both of them looked at him as they knew that he was a stable and calm person.

Paul said in happiness, "A righteous wizard had been born in our village with at least tier 3 combat effectiveness. He was able to wipe out a orc settlement along with the shaman lord. He is inviting the chefs. My mother is the friend of the village chief who is working for the mage. I am leaving."

Rock asked in concern, "Are you sure he is not some kind of evil mage? No one will try to take justice for you as long as he stays away from the nobles and the people of the mages."

Paul asked, "He is a mage dabbling in metal magic. What do you think can be taken out of my body? Metals?"

Rock said, "What does he want?"

Paul said, "He has settled there and is a person who like food. I am going to be developed."

Rock said, "I am also coming with you."

Paul said, "Sure."

Toby and Tony looked at him and Paul said, "You can come if you want."

Paul decided to leave for the village soon.

-----------------------------------

York looked at his son who was making the food. He loved his son more than anything else and he did not want his history to be stained. There were some lords who acted in justice and he did not want his son to be planted in some political battle due to him killing that Paul to get his son on the house. His brother was nothing more than a lucky bastard who had better talent than him. His mother was a bastard daughter born to the previous baron and his father had married her to have some connection to the baron. He hated his brother but that was all he could do.

York saw that the door was knocked and took the gun sword into his hand. He was strong enough to fight some people. He let his wife and son retreat and opened to see Paul and three others. Did he bring someone to kill him? Did he not know that his brother was a knight or did he get the news that his brother really did not care for him? York looked at him in anger as he could not drop the momentum. His brother came from the nearby house and so were his two sons who were apprentice knights.

Polo could not lose his brother as he was the best in making money. He had to get the resources to let his children break through as his potential was exhausted as his body had become old. He had sired 78 children and only two were able to become knights. The women were of low quality and he could do nothing about it. Women hardly became strong in this world as they had trouble as their bodies were not stronger than men and it took longer time to become strong and needed more energy. They had to take care of their bodies and when they bore children, they could hardly cultivate and lose a lot of energy. The ones who became knights would marry nobles and mages as the mages also wanted high quality children. The witches would marry stronger wizards. But he could not let his children lose the resources and he had to let York live.

Polo came with a sword and asked the man standing in a group, "What are you doing here?"

Paul did not speak but took a card and it glowed. Polo could only bow down as it was the mage card made with at least fourth tier energy. How did such a person come here? What foolishness did that bastard York do?

Paul said, "I am quitting from the restaurant. I have been selected by a mage as one of his chefs."

Polo looked at York and York had an ugly face. He had created a strong enemy. York took the gold coins and gave it to Paul. Paul smiled and took it. He was stronger than them in stature now and he just wanted to live in the present. Paul decided to leave but York stopped him. "Excuse me young man but are you by chance married or in love."

Paul turned and said, "I have no interest in marriage for now. I just want to go and join the mages solace as soon as possible."

Polo said, "I have three pretty daughters. You can take them as your concubines. They can take care of your daily chores and can also help you in helping your managing your house."

Paul thought about his village and found that there were not many pretty women. One of the sons of Polo went and called his sisters who were the youngest and the prettiest. They came and stood bowing by the side of their father. Paul decided to accept them as he would have no time to get married later. He was the firm man who believed to do the deed first and take care of the matter later. At least he would have enjoyed the process by then.

Paul said, "Sure, they can come with me."

Polo said, "You have to make them your concubines at least. They are my children and are really pretty."

Paul thought and agreed. Polo took the holy water and gave it to Paul and he took it and drank it and kissed the three women and the holy covenant of concubine was formed. They were his concubines from now on and there were marks on their hands showing that they were married. The marriage ceremony was for the rich and the strong and were not for them. Paul and others left and they were happy.

York could do nothing as he had let his daughter be married to his brother. Polo was happy as he knew that the newly grown wizards would usually gift their favorite ones with cores. The mage most likely liked food otherwise it would not have sent such an order. if Paul become a knight, he can get a stronger grandson as he was also a knight. If the mage takes liking to them, he may even get a mage grandson even if the grandson does not have the name of the mage-son. He was right in having many children. Weak people like him can only strengthen their families by sowing more. He decided to let more of his wives have children. He looked at York and kicked him back. He decided to let York's daughters be impregnated today. He was going to let them suffer again. They were really going to suffer today.
