Chereads / the lust cultivator / Chapter 26 - dusting his path

Chapter 26 - dusting his path

What we want is to understand the Dao of pleasure and by watching couples cultivate we could become closer to the Dao."

Ken didn't have an opinion about this but he felt weird thinking about him masturbating as he watched people have sex.

Thinking about this he reached the barbershop and pushed the door open to the sound of the alarm.

Ken: "Could you get this bell off it is very uncomfortable for customers."

Rumo who was reading the usual rom-com novel "I don't like my customers disturbing my piece."

Ken: "I was just saying. Aren't you bored just sitting there doing nothing, why don't you just cultivate with one of the shop owners?"

Rumo chuckled "I don't cultivate dual cultivation. Do you know you people are seen as vulgar perverts in other continents? They even say we are in the unorthodox faction because both the heavenly and the demonic factions don't want to be associated with us."

Ken: "You say that like it is a bad thing, from what I know the most dangerous thing is glory, the greatest geniuses fall not because they are damn or lacking but they fall because of the glory of their achievements."

Rumo: "Like you who shaded your skin and became an inner phase of body refining?"

Ken: "I am not a genius I just got lucky and comprehended my technique to cultivate without competition. Now almost all have started to cultivate and the competition is becoming the pain in the ass."

Rumo: "You have already formed Dao companions so unless other men start stealing them you should be fine or is there another reason."

Ken: "Forget about it instead let me ask you what has been bugging me. You must know about the two ideas about dual cultivation Dao right? What do you think about it as an outsider?"

Rumo corrected his posture as he put down his book with a serious look on his face "Well as someone who doesn't dual cultivate I see both sides being correct. I might sleep with someone because I just find her attractive or I might want an intimate relationship."

Ken: "Isn't attraction a feeling?"

Rumo: "Attraction isn't a feeling it is a primal force within every being who reproduces. I might be attracted to a beautiful lady but it is flirting, it doesn't last but something like love or affection persists."

Ken: "You think love and affection last longer than cultivators life. The road to the top is a lonely one I know that much. The moment you begin to become successful the people around you start to sink their teeth in."

Rumo: "That is their choice to make. You look like someone who doesn't value friendships?"

Ken: "I prefer more transactions, you know what to expect but emotions like love only cloud your judgment and drag you down. In this world everyone is for themselves that is why all of us cultivate."

Rumo: "So you are going accept the demonic faction?"

Ken was deep in his thought as he thought that is an attraction we feel the moment we feel an emotion or it isn't and if it isn't then what is it? He thought back to Rumo's words the demonic faction might ignore attraction but Ken felt he found his answer there.

Attraction is a primal force more like an instinct. Most people ignore this as they define themselves differently than animals around us but how are we different from animals other than our superior intellect?

I began this journey I promised to listen to my instincts so why am I hesitating? I didn't know but I think I found what I believe in so I am going to follow this path.

Rumo figured Ken was in his thoughts so he didn't disturb him. He was thinking why he asked him this question because most of the people in the sect just chose one side. There is nothing wrong with it as this is the cumulative thinking of countless cultivators.

Is he implying that both are wrong by questioning their thinking, that would be outrageous right?

Ken let out a deep breath as a knot in his heart got untied. Seeing this Rumo asked, "Why did you ask me that question?"

Ken understood why he asked "Many might think a wider road is the best to travel but I think the best road is the road you know and trust. If something happens to shake up the road no one can go further and that is bound to happen sooner or later."

Rumo understood the basics "Are you building your road? That is going to take time and energy that a cultivator of your stage doesn't have."

Ken: "No I am not building it. I am just clearing up the dust to make it clearer."

Rumo got confused but didn't want to push Ken too much with all these questions he might get suspicious and knowing Ken he definitely will be.

Ken and Rumo didn't talk much after that as they both started reading Rumo his rom-com novel and Ken a book he borrowed from the library that talked about the yin qi of women.

Ken has been practicing the pure soul eyes and has gotten good to the point of using it passively anytime. And as the candidates cultivated more the Yin or Yang Qi he could see got greater and clearer. He wanted to find out what it was and from the books he read when a man or a woman takes in the Qi and distributes it through their body, it becomes polluted with the impurities in their bodies.
