Chat with Jin, Hashiro, and Yuta to get more information on the yin-yang palace and catch up to people on the new rumors and information about the 13 peaks but he also eavesdropped on other people's perspectives to get the full picture.
The afternoon was left to study the area and see things. Just like that three days passed by in the blink of an eye.
This morning Ken was up as always training his stamina when felt the airship start to move not long after that an announcement was made.
"Hello
Candidate congratulations on being selected to be one of the Yin-yang Palace potential disciples. Your evaluation will start this morning everything you need to know about the evaluation is in the guide book which you will find in any store you want.
We will be traveling for three months and by the time we arrive, we will have sorted you.
Have a wonderful journey"
Ken continued his training after hearing the announcement for some time after finishing he went to his room to get a shower where saw his roommates and neighbors come running out.
Everyone wanted to be the first to get their hands on the guidebook to read the details of what they were hearing rumors about.
Ken took a shower changed into a new robe and packed qi stones ready to go to the barbershop.
Getting out of his house Ken started to walk in the street where all hell broke loose as every store was crowded with people shouting and cheering. Watching this Ken just went on his way to find that the barber shop was empty.
Many didn't think of the barbershop when they heard stores but that was good for me.
Ken pushed the door open and rang the bell to find the barber sitting in one of the haircut chairs reading a rom-com novel to pass the time.
The barber looked up "If I didn't know any better I would think you were here for me."
Ken just lightly smiled
"Have you seen outside it has become total mayhem out there I saw one guy getting jumped just because others wanted the guidebook first.
Even your neighbor's beauty salon is filled to the brim with women shouting about the passionate blossom peak women being the most beautiful and shouting cool-sounding cultivation techniques."
The barber: "Are you hear for the guidebook?" as he threw a book so small it could be mistaken for a leaflet.
Ken caught the book and headed for one of the haircut chairs to comfortably read.
It was the second time Ken had come in the past three days whenever he needed a quiet place he would come here.
The barber who has gotten close to him wasn't a barber and all the shop owners were what they seemed to be. The barber wanted to recruit Ken to his peak so he was going to persuade him when he came the next time.
So now he started to ask "Have you decided on which peak you are going to choose?"
Ken: "Well I haven't decided yet I want to see every inheritance I can and pick what suits me I don't care much about factions and such but it seems the world revolves around them."
The barber: "Considering your calm demeanor and indifferent attitude the chimera shadow garden main scripture would fit you nicely."
Ken put down the book faintly smiling "Are you fishing like other shop owners if you wanted more people you would have opened a pub which is in demand."
The barber has gotten used to reading his expression which looked like 'Do I look like those morons outside' as Ken continued to read.
The barber's eyes were burning in interest as he opened the shop because he was bored but he didn't expect to get an interesting kid like this. He already decided to recruit him no matter his talent.
Ken had a theory when he watched the storm that got kicked up because of the announcement and shops started advertising specific peaks and with the storm came waves that caused clueless bystanders to easily get fooled into a dumb decision.
This was why I try to always be calm and collected. I think people make their bad decisions when they are emotional and 'life is a series of choices'.
I didn't want to get swept by mob mentality and lose myself. I will always make my decision at my own pace and if you lose that you are giving other people to decide your fate.
Ken was sure every store owner was connected to the peaks because everything was designed to the minute detail by the sect and they wouldn't make I mistake like this.
The moment the evaluation started they were filtering us to see what was worth nurturing and they got hard-working honorary disciples who won't complain but blame their talent.
It seems like the barber was connected to the chimera shadow garden which was a good place considering Ken didn't to get tied down by politics.
Ken read the 'book' leaflet and in summary, it stated:
Candidates who couldn't break through from body refining to spirit condensation in two months will be disqualified and be given a choice to stay in the yin-yang immortal city or go to related sects.
The sect accepts on average 15000 candidates in the general admission 20 percent fail to give 12000 remaining.
Candidates that breakthrough from body refining to spirit condensation in two months will be honorary disciples.
Candidates that breakthrough from body refining to spirit condensation in one month will become outer disciples.
About 10 percent of the 12000 become outer which gives 1200 people.
Candidates that break through from body refining, and spirit condensation to soul shaving in three months will become inner disciples.
1 percent has success in this to become an inner disciple that is 12
This will be distributed through the 13 peaks. The remaining peak will have the privilege of taking the top 10 outer disciples.
Candidates that break through the foundation establishment stage to violet palace manifestation in the three months on the ship will be core disciples and accept masters to guide them.
If a peak takes in a core disciple they have to give up a portion of their honorary and won't participate in the inner disciple selection without the 10 outer disciples.
To start your journey and find cultivation techniques and resources go to the central hall that contains the 13 peak halls and the library which is now open.
But the most interesting part was the rule that forbids the use or learning of mind manipulating pills, formation, or techniques including charm and seduction techniques for the first month.
