Chapter 14 - Chapter fourteen: Helios.

**Chapter Fourteen: Helios**

In a huge palace situated atop a cliff, a young woman is seen in a big library, sitting on a sofa in a comfortable position. She had porcelain skin, long ankle-length black hair, bright red eyes, an exquisite face, and a beautiful body. She was wearing a long red dress. She was reading a book when suddenly her eyes turned blue and lost focus. It lasted for about a minute. Her eyes turned to normal, but she had a puzzled expression.

"A new class holder? How? That shouldn't be possible," the lady stood up and walked over to a table and picked up a mirror that was on it.

"Inara, if you receive this message, contact me immediately. We need to talk."

---

Kevin and Nicholas had managed to escape the trial, but Nicholas had passed out the moment they appeared in the garden, and Kevin watched as wisps of silver energy flew out of Nicholas's body and into the ruby necklace on his neck and the little wolf that was sleeping on his chest. The scene of Nicholas' massacre replayed in his head. Although he just met Nicholas, the amount of killing intent he had displayed in the trial could rival that of a rank 5. Just what type of life did he live to have that kind of killing intent?

"Who exactly are you, Nicholas?"

**Nicholas' POV**

Meanwhile, "Nooooooo!"

"Kevin! You bastard, leave me here. I'm going to finish this. I'll get revenge for Cassie. Aaarrrgggghhhhhh!"

I was screaming and moving my arms wildly when I took a glimpse at my surroundings and paused.

"Where am I? Damn, this is like the fifth time I'm saying this. Hello, anybody there?"

I was standing in a black space filled with nothing. It was empty until I saw a gold light shine in the distance. It was in the shape of a door, and from the door, a young man stepped out. He had long golden hair, bright golden eyes, and he wore a golden robe as well as golden accessories.

The figure approached me and stretched while saying, "Ahh, finally out of that place."

He had the voice of an angel, but to me, it was strangely annoying, and for some reason, it sounded familiar.

"Who are you?" I asked, my mind on high alert.

"Oh, I'm Helios. Nice to meet you," the young man - Helios - said with an enchanting smile while stretching out his hand for a handshake.

I moved back a step.

"Relax, I won't bite."

I looked at Helios and asked, "Where am I?"

"Oh, this? This is your Spirit world."

"My spirit world? What's that?"

Although I had a vague idea of what that word was thanks to Kevin, I wanted to know more from this guy. Even though I was suspicious of him, it didn't stop me from getting information from him.

"Are you serious? You don't know what a spirit world is? Well, I can't blame you. The energy you are giving off is very weak. Anyway, a spirit world is the place where you can only access after you awaken. In it, you will be able to access your beast armaments as well as your basic info and some other things I've forgotten, but it's basically your private space inside your head," Helios paused, then continued, "Wait a minute. Do you even know what a beast armament is? Do you even know your basic stats?"

"....."

"Are you messing with me right now? Since when did I become a teacher? I should have known signing that contract was a bad idea."

Helios continued talking to himself. I watched him whine and grumble and shout curse words such as, "Damn you, cage!" "Arrgghhh, so annoying!"

I watched until I couldn't take it anymore and had to talk. His voice was really annoying.

"Ugh, will you shut it?"

"What?"

"You're making a lot of noise. Can't you just answer the question?"

"Seems like you have no respect for your elders, huh!? Do you know how old I am? I'm 5000 years old. So you can't talk to me the way you like."

"Haa, 5000? You?"

I scoffed. How can someone who looked like he was just twenty say he was 5000 years old?

"Yes, I am, and if you don't believe it, that's on you. ~humph~" Helios harrumphed as he turned his back to me.

"Fine, whatever. Answer my question."

Helios glanced at me and rolled his eyes before he turned to me, saying, "Your basic stats will appear if you think about them."

I did as I was told, but nothing happened.

"Hello, nothing happened."

"Oh, I forgot."

*Snap*

Helios snapped his fingers, and my surroundings changed. I appeared on what looked like an island in the same black space. At the center of the island was a pond filled with silver liquid, and above it was a silver ball. Moving around it were five little black balls. The way they were positioned made me think of the solar system, with the silver ball being the sun and the little balls being the planets. It looked beautiful.

I watched in amazement as all this appeared in front of me and then asked, "Wow, how did you..?"

"Beautiful, right?" Helios said with a smug smile plastered on his face.

"Yeah."

"This is your Spirit world."

Once I heard that, I said, "Oh, so it wasn't you who created it."

Hearing what I said, the smile on Helios' face vanished.

"..."

"Anyway, what did you say I should do again?"

"..."

"Oh yeah, I should just think of my status window, and it will show up."

Once again, I did as I was told.

'Status window'

As I had that thought, a blue-colored screen appeared in my line of sight. There were words on the screen, and they were:

[Basic stats]

[Name: Nicholas Cage]

[Age: 17]

[Race: Human]

[Spirit essence: 100/100]

[Spirit ability: Void]

[Type: element]

[Spirit rank: 2]

[Spells: Void slash (lv1), storage space (lv1), Inra's blessing (???)]

[Spirit class: Beast tamer]

[Class rank: 1]

[Beasts tamed: 1 (night wolf)]

[Beast armaments: falcon claws, heart of flames, elven sword (?????)]

'So these are my stats,' I thought while reading through the screen. I was about to click the beast armament part when Helios suddenly interrupted me.

"Seems like your friend is in danger."

"What do you mean?"

"Look."

I turned to look at what he was showing me. It was a screen that showed Kevin. He was in a battle stance, and my body, together with the little wolf, was behind him. In front of him was a pack of about ten wolves, all growling with murderous intent.
