Lily and Madeline returned to the ballroom, and as expected, everyone had already sat at a long table with all the food neatly arranged, and the servants were busy pouring wine or any requested drinks for each guest.
Madeline glanced at Lily, and the latter nodded. They separated and sat in their respective seats, with Madeline beside Lance.
"So, how was it? Did you get along with my sister?" Lance asked while drinking a glass of wine. "She's very prickly and quick to temper after Theodore and Angel got engaged, but trust me, she is very cute and innocent."
"We get along, don't worry," Madeline smiled. "On top of that, we've agreed to work together."
"Work together?" Lance frowned. "Did you two fetch a plan while I wasn't around? You should tell me about it."
"I don't need to tell you. You will see a good show soon," Madeline said.
