Madeline hopped off the desk and stood in front of Lance. "That's right, Sir. It's all according to our contract. You want me to be your contractual girlfriend and make me globally infamous for your unknown plan that you don't want to tell me about," Madeline said. "You are doing a great job, Mr. Grant."
Madeline's last sentence stabbed his heart. Lance took a deep breath to calm down. He had never been so stimulated before, but Madeline could draw many emotions out of him, so he had to keep reminding himself not to act out using his emotions rather than logic.
"I apologize for all the hate comments you got," Lance said. "But business is business. You're portraying a villainess in that reality show, and you did it well."
