"Now, repeat after me, bride," the Bishop ordered, and Madeline nodded.

Lance could feel Madeline's palms were sweaty. She looked confident as always, but Lance knew she was just as nervous.

Thus, he rubbed her hand with his thumb and whispered, "Just a little more before we can be together, Maddy."

Madeline nodded as she got her assurance and followed the Bishop's words.
