Madeline returned to her house in the late evening. She was dazed the whole time in the car, thinking about everything they did in that mansion.
She chuckled as she knocked on the door, and Nathan opened it.
He frowned when he saw Madeline's vacant but happy expression. "Did something happen, sis?" he asked.
"Oh—" Madeline snapped out of her daze and shook her head. "Nothing much. I just got back from the production set."
"Mhm, I've just finished cooking for dinner."
Madeline and Nathan ate the dinner that he prepared. She ate with relish, especially after a vigorous activity during the whole afternoon.
After she was done, she drank a coke while watching a random TV show with Nathan and asked, "What do you think about moving out?"
Nathan froze for a moment.
That question was so abrupt that it took a while for him to process his answer: "What's wrong with our house? I think it's good here, right?"
