Madeline felt ticklish around her ear and jolted when Lance kissed it.
"Y—You! Don't do that!" Madeline said as she quickly covered her ear. "I'm so ticklish, you idiot!"
Lance laughed at Madeline's reaction.
"So, what do you think? Am I allowed to stay in your mansion with you?"
"S—Stop playing around, will you? I have my own home, and though it's not as big as this one, it has a lot of memories of my family," Madeline said. "I don't need your mansion, Lance, especially not when you handed it to me like this. It makes me wonder what idea you have behind my back."
Lance's smile dissipated.
He knew that Madeline was still suspicious of him, and he had resigned to his fate.
After all, he made the mistake of lying to her when she entered that Summer Heat Lovers reality show.
'It'll take a while until she can fully trust me, I guess…' Lance thought.
Thus, Lance maintained his smile and said, "I just want to make you happy."
