Manny Pangilinan sat at the head of the table, his face a mask of frustration as his executives scrambled to explain the latest setbacks. Reports of client defections, negative press, and plummeting investor confidence piled up in front of him, each one a stark reminder of how far his empire had fallen in just a few weeks.

"This can't continue," Pangilinan said, his voice low but sharp. "Reyes Corporation is dismantling us piece by piece. We need a decisive response—now."

One of his senior advisors leaned forward, speaking cautiously. "Sir, we've exhausted our options in telecommunications. PLDT's corporate clients are switching faster than we can replace them. Even our offers to undercut Reyes on pricing haven't been enough."
