After issuing her threat, Alysia casually settled back into her seat, her demeanor as innocent and calm as ever. Her serene facade almost convinced him that what he had just heard was merely a figment of his imagination.
Austin's mouth unknowingly twitched at how good actor Alysia was.
Putting Alysia's threat out of his mind, Austin redirected his attention to Irina, who seemed captivated by the array of drinks on the desk.
Suppressing her curiosity and desire to try the drinks, Irina turned to Alysia and asked with a hint of nervousness, "So, what's your decision?"
"No rush, just enjoy these drinks first," Alysia said with a smile.
Irina was on the verge of pressing further, but she stopped herself after a quick self-assessment. She realized she had been showing her anxiety too much.
