"What did you just do?" Alysia asked with raised eyebrows.

"They were badmouthing you, young miss. I simply taught them a lesson," Eris replied with a nonchalant shrug.

"Eris, have you forgotten our previous discussions?" Alysia's tone grew stern, her eyes narrowing dangerously.

Eris appeared slightly taken aback, lowering her head as she spoke apologetically. "I apologize, young miss. My emotions got the better of me."

Alysia continued to gaze at Eris wordlessly, her expression unreadable. Similarly, Eris dared not raise her head.

Austin silently observed the scene unfolding before him, feeling a sense of unease settling over the group.

He felt the whole situation was strange, but couldn't pinpoint where it was exactly.

"Hey, are we going or not?" Unable to bear the tension any longer, Austin finally broke the awkward silence.

"Let's go," Alysia replied, withdrawing her gaze from Eris. "Are those two still conscious?"
