Chapter 42 - Plan To Rob

The sun dipped low in the afternoon sky as Austin wrapped up his classes and returned to his dorm.

He walked into the dorm to find Lester, as usual, engrossed in his laptop.

Ignoring the familiar scene, Austin made his way to the couch, slouching into its worn cushions. Soon, he became lost in thought.

Now, I'm just missing the Runes of Greed and Wrath. If I remember correctly, one of the easiest methods to accumulate the sin of Greed was to rob someone. But, who should be my target?... While thinking over the matter, Austin recalled the business card he had just gotten from the bald guy.

He took the card out of his pocket and began contemplating an idea.

Should I break into their office and rob them? I mean, they weren't exactly the nicest people from the beginning, right? Those guys would do anything for money, and I bet they've got plenty of blood on their hands. So, robbing them and wrecking their office should be like doing society a good favor, right?

The more he mulled over the idea, the more he liked it, and he felt the itch to get into action.

Just then, Lester abruptly yelled and jumped up from his seat enthusiastically just like fans seeing their idol.

"Edith!"

"Edith!"

Lester repeated his yells a few times.

'What's wrong with this pervert?'

Intrigued, Austin silently walked closer.

He finally saw what had captured Lester's attention. The screen displayed a live stream of what seemed to be a concert. The camera zoomed in, revealing a stunning girl with long beautiful blue hair.

The girl appeared tall, standing at around 1.75 meters. She stood alone on the stage, with thousands of spectators serving as a backdrop to her performance.

From the moment she began her performance, Austin found it impossible to tear his eyes away from the girl. Her mesmerizing voice and graceful gestures were like a heavenly symphony, leaving him wondering how a mere human could deliver such an exceptional performance.

Lost in the enchantment, he didn't even register that the concert had ended until ten minutes later. When he finally snapped out of his trance, he finally realized his phone had been ringing.

He quickly went to the balcony and answered the call.

"Brother..." Satella greeted him with a yawn.

"Sleep well?"

"Hmm... Mom called me a few minutes ago," Satella began.

"Oh, really? What happened next?" Austin feigned surprise, remembering the promise he made to his mother.

Satella pouted. "She found out I'm in Alves and wants me home tomorrow. She threatened to fly here and spank me if I didn't. Brother, you've got to help me!"

"You know I'm defenseless too against Mom," Austin said helplessly.

"Come on, brother, can't you do something? You've been out cold for a solid two days. We only managed to have a decent day together yesterday. Just when I thought we were finally connecting on a deeper level, Mom decided to swoop in and ruin it all. Ugh! I've barely scratched the surface of satisfying my longing for some quality time with you!" Satella expressed her dissatisfaction.

"I get it, Satella. Believe me, I wish I could have you by my side all the time, but the reality is, you've got school, and Mom's still oblivious to the supernatural craziness we're dealing with, so we're kind of stuck following her rules," Austin sighed.

After indulging in a taste of forbidden fruit, how could he be content with just a single night? If it were up to him, he'd whisk Satella away to a hotel for a whole week.

But, the cruel truth was, he still had classes, and Satella had her school.

More importantly, he wasn't comfortable with the idea of keeping Satella around for too long due to the inherent danger surrounding him. With him now staying by Alysia's side, his life would inevitably be filled with a lot of perilous situations, just like yesterday.

"Hmm..." Satella hummed listlessly.

"Don't be so disappointed. How about we go on a date later?" Austin suggested.

"A date?" Satella's excitement soared like a kite in the wind, and her tone reflected it.

"Yeah, a date." Out of fear of being discovered, he and Satella never went on dates like any regular couple back in his hometown. So, this could be considered their first date.

"Sure, sure! What time are you picking me up?"

"How about an hour from now?"

"Okay, I'm going to get dres-ah, my luggage is still in the mansion. I don't have my clothes with me," Satella suddenly realized. Her mood soured.

"Did you happen to see a blonde girl around?" Austin asked abruptly.

"Brother, did you hear yourself right? You're asking me about another girl?" Satella's tone was sharp and chilling as she responded.

"You're overthinking things. You were unconscious all morning, no matter how many times I tried to wake you up. The blonde girl I mentioned is a witch sent by Alysia to examine you. I remember she appeared through a mystical door and mentioned having teleport lag. If my guess is correct, she probably has the power to teleport." Austin explained.

"So?"

"Does jealousy make you stupid too?"

"Who's stupid?! I obviously scored higher on IQ tests than you!"

"Yes, but love can make people dumb."

"Ah...wait, doesn't that mean you don't love me enough?"

Austin was silent for a moment, stunned, before squeezing out a helpless response, "Alright, alright, I'm the stupidest one. Can you please now search for that blonde girl, called Sonia? I think she's in another room."

"Hmph, fine!" Though sounding unwilling, Satella still obeyed Austin's request and opened the door to her suite. The suite had a lot of rooms, including another bedroom.

She went to another bedroom and knocked. It didn't take long before the door opened, revealing a sleepy-looking Sonia.

"What's up?" Sonia asked, rubbing her eyes drowsily.

Satella sized her up quietly, observing particularly her chest before looking down at herself. 'Heh, I'm bigger!'

Feeling pleased, her tone wasn't as grumpy as before and had a hint of schadenfreude. "You're Sonia, right? My brother is on the call and asked for you."

"Sir Austin?!" Sonia's drowsiness immediately dissipated and there was a respectful tone in her voice.

Satella, on the other hand, found herself stunned.

'Why does this girl sound so respectful to my brother?!' She couldn't help but fume at the thought of another woman showing interest in her brother.

She was already annoyed enough that his brother was surrounded by a lot of beautiful women, such as that Fox, her maid, and Sister Agatha. And now, does she need to be wary of another woman?

Unaware of Satella's thoughts, Austin spoke through the phone speaker, "Miss Sonia, are you there?"

Sonia replied right away, "Yes, sir Austin, I'm here. And please just call me Sonia."

"Alright," Austin agreed immediately. "Can I trouble you with something?"

"Please don't hesitate! I'll be happy to help with anything." Sonia responded promptly.

"I guessed you had teleport ability from our conversation earlier. My sister's luggage is in Alysia's mansion, so can you go there and pick it up for her?" Austin asked.

"Oh... As expected of you, Sir Austin. You've nailed it right! I indeed have a teleportation ability called the Anywhere Door. With this, I can travel through the Spirit World, and reach any spot on Earth many times faster," Sonia explained proudly.

'Anywhere Door? Why does that name sound familiar?' Austin wondered for a moment. Nevertheless, he swiftly refocused on the matter at hand – his sister's luggage. "So, can I count on you to grab my sister's stuff?"

"Absolutely, no problem at all!"

"And how long do you think it'll ta-"

"I'm off, Sir Austin. Wait for me; I'll be back in a couple of minutes," Sonia cut in before her voice faded away.

After a while, Satella spoke again, her tone full of sarcastic tone. "Brother, it seems like your life here in Alves was pretty good."

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"Nothing!"

While Austin and Satella continued their chat, Sonia returned to the suite after around five minutes, holding a pink suitcase.

"Here's your stuff, Austin sister," Sonia said as she handed over the suitcase to Satella. Then, she turned to the phone and spoke loudly, "Sir Austin, I've completed your request. Do you have any other favors to ask of me?"

"Well, there's another one," Austin chuckled wryly. "Any chance your ability can give me a lift too?"

"Of course, you can join me. Want me to teleport you somewhere?"

"Kind of," Austin replied.

"Alright, then. You just need to let me know your current location, Sir Austin."

"Brother, what are you planning to do?" Satella couldn't help but chime in when she noticed her brother preparing to go elsewhere with Sonia.

"I want to get my money back," Austin replied with a devilish grin.

"Huh?"

"I'll explain to you later." Austin simply replied before sharing his location with Sonia through Satella's phone.
