Chapter 23 - Stirring Up Trouble

Tatatata!

Tatatata!

The sounds of gunshots and explosive blasts resonated from their computers. Currently, both Alysia and Austin were in Austin's dormitory, playing a game called Strike: Counter.

Initially, Austin had planned to invite Satella to a few spots that were good for hanging out. However, perhaps because he was now a demon, while he wasn't overly sensitive to the sun, he was gradually growing weak as noon approached.

In the end, he decided to bring Alysia to his dormitory to cool his head for a moment before deciding where to go when the sun wasn't as scorching.

As for his class, even if he wanted to attend, he was already running late due to the delay caused by William. Moreover, he found accompanying Satella more meaningful than attending Professor Smith's lecture.

"Ah...brother, we lose again." Satella pouted

"Hmmm... I can see that Satella," Austin replied, looking at his sister with a blank gaze. He couldn't understand how someone could be so bad at the game, unable to differentiate between friend and foe. Despite playing for half an hour, Satella seemed to excel only in eliminating her own teammates.

To spare Satella from the potentially hurtful comments in the game's chat, Austin had muted both the text and voice channels from the start. Being a seasoned gamer himself, how couldn't he not foresaw the negative curse that would follow Satella's plays?

"Let's call it quits for now," Austin declared, stretching his arms.

"So, what do we do next?" Satella asked.

Austin got up from his seat and patted the couch. "Come here. I want to catch up on the past four months I haven't seen you."

Satella naturally took a seat beside Austin while holding a glass of milk tea.

Just as Austin was about to continue the conversation, he felt his phone vibrating. Retrieving it, he noticed Alysia calling. Glancing at Satella, he debated briefly before deciding to be transparent and answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Where are you right now?" Alysia's voice crackled through the phone.

"I'm in my dorm. What's up?"

"I'm coming to pick you up in ten minutes. Be ready," Alysia declared shortly.

"Uh, sure, but I've got a favor to ask," Austin said, shooting a helpless glance to Satella, who was gradually inching closer, their shoulders now touching.

"A favor?" A puzzled response came from Alysia.

"My sister just showed up. Do you mind if she joins us?" Austin requested.

"Well, if she's your sister..." Alysia's voice went into pause. "Is she listening to our conversation right now?"

"Yeah," Austin answered, stealing a quick glance at Satella to gauge her reaction. Unsurprisingly, Satella had taken off her glasses, moved closer to the phone, and bluntly asked, "Do you have a problem with me listening in?"

On the other end, Alysia was taken aback by Satella's straightforwardness. As a woman, how could she not sense the underlying threat and warning in Satella's words? Moreover, she could unmistakably feel jealousy and possessiveness in Satella's tone, even through the phone.

'Is this what they call having a brother complex? Or perhaps, a yandere too?' Alysia pondered silently. After Austin introduced her to the term "Chuunibyou," she naturally delved into exploring modern slang, picking up on various expressions, especially the Japanese ones.

After a brief moment of contemplation, she couldn't help but smirk. "Oh, indeed, I've got a little issue. The stuff I need to chat with your brother about is adult-rated. Clearly, it's not kiddie talk, so maybe you should skip the eavesdropping, little girl."

As a certified demon, how could she not be up to mischief?

Back to Austin, his heart sank like a stone as the room plunged into an eerie silence, the weight of Alysia's voice resonating loudly.

He could feel Satella trembling beside him, her eyes ablaze with fury.

Oh, crap!

Why would Alysia pull a stunt like this? What on earth did I do to deserve this?

He was itching to unleash a string of curses at Alysia for escalating the situation, but first, he had to find a way to calm Satella down.

"Satella, it's not what you think," Austin began, his voice a soothing attempt to defuse the mounting tension. "Alysia is just talking nonsense. Don't trust her words-"

Alysia's voice soon cut in. "So, your name is Satella. Nice to meet you, I'm Alysia and I'm your brother's master."

Austin's eyes widened abruptly, and he could practically feel the temperature in the room drop as a surge of murderous intent emanated from Satella.

"Master?" Satella shot Austin a quizzical look, her head tilting as a strange smile played on her lips.

"Will you die if you shut your mouth, Alysia?!" In a fluster, he addressed Alysia without honorifics for the first time.

"Hehehe. Why don't you take a peek at my contact name in your brother's phone?" Alysia suggested, her grin widening as she added fuel to the fire.

Satella promptly snatched Austin's phone from his hand and cast a quick glance at the contact name.

'Master'

Crack!

The glass Satella held shattered in half, its contents splattering onto the couch.

"Brother, what's the meaning of this? Care to explain what's going on?" Satella asked, wearing a smile that resembled a ^_^ emoticon but seemed far from friendly.

As seemingly pleasant as her smile was, Austin knew all too well that the calmer Satella appeared, the more dangerous she truly was.

Meanwhile, Austin's brain was practically on overdrive as he scrambled to come up with an explanation. What could he say? That the 'Master' thing was all part of some roleplay? But wouldn't that just make things worse?

That he regarded Alysia as a figure of a master? But Satella wasn't foolish enough to buy into such a lame excuse.

'Darn it! I should've changed Alysia's contact name immediately earlier. If I had, I wouldn't be in this mess right now!'

Austin berated himself with regret. But, what could he do now? The milk had been spilled, and now he was faced with the consequences.

"Brother, why are you not answering me?" Satella inched her face closer, her eyes blinking innocently.

Casting aside all his worries, he focused his gaze on Satella and said helplessly. "Can't you tell Alysia was lying and just messing with you? If you still doubted me, why don't you ask her a question closely related to me? See if she can answer it. If she's intimate enough with me to talk about adult topics, she should at least understand me, right?"

Satella fell into deep thought upon hearing Austin's logical plea before nodding. Addressing the phone, she said, "As my brother said, since you claim to be his master and are close enough to engage in adult conversations, you should be able to answer my questions, right?"

"Sure, go ahead. What do you want to ask?" Alysia's calm voice responded. She inwardly scoffed in confidence. Despite having known Austin for less than a day, she already possessed a brief understanding of him, thanks to a background check she conducted on him.

From the beginning, Alysia was well aware that Austin had an adoptive sister named Satella and a complete set of parents. Her feigned surprise upon hearing Satella's name for the first time was a calculated move to avoid raising suspicions.

Other than his family, she had thoroughly investigated Austin's life and knew that he led a relatively normal student life with a clean record and no notable issues.

This comprehensive background check was an essential step for her to undertake before reincarnating Austin into a demon. Without this precaution, if Austin had turned out to be a criminal or hoodlum, wouldn't it resulted in a significant loss for her?

Having done her homework, Alysia felt confident in answering whatever question Satella might throw at her.

Little did she know, just like the saying goes, things don't always go as planned, Satella's question would catch her off guard.

"What's my brother's size?" Satella asked haughtily.

'Size?' Alysia assumed Satella was referring to Austin's shoe size. With confidence, she replied based on the information she had gathered. "Nine points five!"

"Tsk, tsk, you're wrong!" Satella rebuked.

"What? That's impossible!" Alysia was confident that her source was up-to-date and only left a little or might be none for mistakes. So, when Satella rebuked her, she couldn't help but argue back.

Meanwhile, Austin felt a strange mix of confusion and curiosity. How did Alysia accurately determine his shoe size? More intriguingly, why would his possessive sister contradict Alysia? Did she genuinely not know his shoe size, or was she playing some sort of mind game with Alysia?

Regardless, he was curious about his sister's response, not expecting that her answer would soon leave him speechless.

"My brother's size is XX inches!" Satella exclaimed proudly.

"Inches?" It was at this moment that Alysia noticed the oddity. "Why are you using inches? Just what size are you referring to?"

"Heh, don't feign innocence. I'm pretty sure you know what I meant."

Without waiting for Alysia's response, Satella continued. "Of course, I'm referring to my brother's PP size!"

"Pfft!" Alysia's muffled voice came from the phone.

"Heh, you must have been shocked, not expecting me to know this information, right?"

"How about the moles on his body? Do you know how many there are?"

"What about his kissing technique?"

"His favorite hentei?"

"His favorite AV actor?"

"Stop! Stop!" Austin hurriedly blocked Satella's mouth with his palm. Satella shot him a displeased gaze, but Austin remained steadfast. "Hey, do you want to embarrass me or something?"

Austin felt that if he didn't put a halt to her, she might continue revealing his embarrassing side and put his reputation at stake.

Seeing that her glare wasn't effective, Satella shook her head in an attempt to free herself from Austin's palm. However, her efforts proved futile. As a last resort, she stuck out her tongue and licked Austin's palm, causing him to jolt and release his hand. "Hey, why are you licking my palm? It's dirty."

On the other end, Alysia, who had begun to recover from her senses and overheard their conversation, couldn't help but become speechless once again. After a brief pause, she spoke emotionlessly. "Hello, 911? There's a practice of inces—"
