With a sense of dread, I turned away, my heart heavy with the knowledge that I was alone in a world filled with predators. But even as I walked away, a fire ignited within me, fuelled by defiance and determination. Despite the betrayal by those I trusted, I remained unbroken. I was Everly, and I would fight tooth and nail to carve out my own destiny, no matter the cost.
While I was on my way back to outside of the hotel he came in between my steps halting my way.
"Where do you think you are going?" He questioned me and without even waiting for my answer he pulled me aside from there.
I forcefully removed my hand from. his grip throwing his hand away. I looked at him coldlyd and answered,
"I don't know what are you thinking about yourself by dragging me like this or by your words. I don't know you would degrade to this extent just to fulfill your selfishness," I sneered at him.
